>main story: 60 hoursWhat were they thinking?
I'm genuinely surprise, how ubisoft wrote a 60 hour script and ignore how some Viking clans were mass murdering rapistsImpressive
>>725947493This. They needed to include the ability to rape people.
>>725946916>Viking age>There's black people???
>pushes the non-animus storyalready better than Shadows
>>725947762Vikings were honorary niggers
>>725947762
>>725947762WE
>>725948267>kill civilians as viking>lose>giganigger in Japan can kill everyone indiscriminately I hate ubisoft so fucking much.
>>725948267In what sense exactly?
>>725946916To be honest I spent 150 hours in this game. I don't regret it.I liked the DLC in early Middle Age Paris and the final dlc in the Nordic god land
>>725948447Fake, if you kill civilians you will have a game over
>>725948936>nigger vikings>can't kill civiliansKEK
>>725946916>We're gonna charge people $1 per hour so that they get their money's worth.Respectable, honestly.
>>725948936You get xp for killing civilians (only a fraction of what you get for killing enemies though)
>>725947762Do you think black people were invented in the last century or something?
>>725946916I spent over 100 hours going through the main story.>>725947762The black isn't an actual viking. He's a river raider who ended up in England.
>>725949214>You get xp for killing civiliansYou get no EXP for killing civilians inside castles. It was patched out almost immediately.Attacking civvies on the streets doesn't let you kill them, and if you hit them enough times you desync.
>>725949125Honestly, I don't like the idea of buying any game that doesn't have at least that ratio. There are exceptions but the rule has worked out so far.
>>725947493>how ubisoft wrote a 60 hour scriptYou wish. nu-AC games should basically be 1/4 the length given how padded they are.
>>725947493They don't write 60 hour scripts, they write a 10ish hour script that's padded by another 50 hours due to having to hunt down the targets, find their locations, actually reach the locations on the map because you have to cross the entire country in these newer ones to get to some of them, and some of the targets are in areas you will not reasonably be leveled for in Odyssey specifically so you have to grind a bit via contracts.Valhalla and Shadows also want you to do side content for EXP, though in Valhalla it's super easy to get Power Levels just through the main story and very little side content while Shadows pretty much makes doing contracts every season at least somewhat mandatory if you want to do the story.
>>725949256Spooks weren't vikings, keep coping brownboi
>>725948770What the fuck did you do for 150 hours?
>>725949630It's astonishing to me Shadows pretends Valhalla ever happened and devs learned nothing from it. Hell, they doubled down on the WORST aspects like RNG loot and too much pointless side shit you must do.
>>725949667Main quest and optional quests and dlcs
>>725949667Bro, 150 hours is child's play for Valhalla.>100%ing the River Raids alone (I.e. buying all the items from the shop and maxing out the two buildings that need supplies) is a minimum of about 60-100 hours of running it.>100%ing the entire England and Norway maps are at least 100-150 hours.>100% the base game Isu content is about 40-60 hours.>100%ing Dawn of Ragnarok is about 50 hours.>100%ing Wrath of the Druids is about 30-40 hours.>100%ing Siege of Paris is about 50 hours with a good 10 of that just being farming the contracts to kill soldiers to get currency for the resistance shop to buy it out.>100%ing the roguelike mode is like 20-30 hours.Picture related is me with a 100% Valhalla save file. Shadows on NG alone with DLC 100%ing it is 330 hours, but 40 of those hours were fog of war clearing in the base map and contracts. Never ever trust How Long To Beat for AC games, every single person on the "Completionist" tag is a liar who considers the platinum/1000 GS a 100% run, not obtaining everything you can in the game that's unique, clearing every area in the map out, doing all the quests, etc.>>725949812>like RNG lootRNG loot is pointless in Shadows, there is no reason to ever use non-Legendary loot. It's exactly like Origins. The only item worth using that's Epic is Yasuke's Naginata and ONLY if it's Bleed, preferably has its Mythic buff be Posture damage or Bleed build up, and has a posture attack buff on the first line like crit chance increase or affliction increase. There's no better accessories than the Legendary ones, no better armor than the Legendary ones, no better headgear than the Legendary ones, no better weapons than the Legendary ones, and Legendary items when upgraded to Artifact buff all stats at tier 9 unlike Epics to Mythic which only buff one stat all the way to 9.
>>725950252I'm getting the shakes from merely reading your post.
>>725949812because rng loot is easy dopamine. shadows invalidates its entire loot rarity system FAR too quickly, though. like >>725950252 said you're basically drowning in legendaries very quickly.
>>725950252And you wasted all that time for a single player game?
>>725950746You also get Naoe's best armor set at literally the first temple that's taken over by evil monks in Izumi Settsu. Like, as soon as you can start exploring the intro part of the map you have her best armor, it's crazy.>Main story gives you Naoe's best kusarigama from the Shinbakufu which has daze + instant armor removal when the enemy is dazed and you hit them.>I believe the main story or the pirates give Naoe her best Tanto which causes the throw ability to instantly remove to health bars and it's vulnerable typing so you're not knocking enemies away due to bleed.>Epilogue gives you Naoe's best hat in the game which removes two health bar sections on ground attacks which you can force through so many means.>Naoe's best accessory is from I think one of the castles, it's the one that buffs CD based on katana mastery points.>Main story gives Yasuke his best accessory from one of the named mooks that attacks you when you're going after the Templars.>Yasuke's best armor is found at one of the early castles. The golden robe one, it buffs posture damage based on how many adrenaline bars are filled and since Yasuke has triple the adrenaline gain Naoe does from combat that's basically a permanent 80-100% posture damage buff.>Yasuke's best headgear is the very first item on the white battle pass that has a 20% chance to do posture attacks twice.>Yasuke's best bow is found in one of the castles and it makes every charged shot a posture shot which means you get damage from the legendary armor in addition to stunlocking enemies, and the bow tree has a passive that causes time slow and instant charged shots once you do a single charged shot.I can't remember where you get the best katana, long katana, kanabo, or teppo but all four weapons are useless unless you're on the easier difficulties, and the teppo are outright worse than the bow in every conceivable way.
>>725946916I 100%'d the Ireland and France DLCs and it was enough to burn me out from finishing the main gameI don't think I even got halfway through
>>725946916Degenerate series that can't be otherwise. Do not post it.The first Assasin's Creed game had someone that cut out brains presented like he tried to do the right thing.Utterly reject this series. The second tried to get you to play as someone that insulted someon's aiater. If you have played it try to contain the infection. Don't give it to others.Don't worsen it with more experiences of it.
>>725950961Yep.Shadows was pretty solid the whole way through and better than both Valhalla and Odyssey, though it still has a lot of padding in the temples and shrines (Though they are more unique than sanctuaries in Odyssey so I don't at least hate running around them), and there are a lot of targets to kill even if most of them are locked to very specific locations so you don't have to go far. The worst part of Shadows 100% was just doing the fog of war in the base map since it doesn't auto fill like Mirage, Valhalla, Odyssey, or Origins do. The Claws of Awaji DLC of course unfogs everything once you do all the sync points, but not the base game.Outside of River Raids Valhalla was alright, it was just more and more padded with every new content patch.I disliked Odyssey most of the time but it had some alright moments here and there and the world could occasionally look nice.
>>725946916>people really seemed to like our last overbloated pile of slop>let's make our next one EVEN MORE bloated and sloppish
>>725955758Which is insane considering the main complaint about Odyssey that even the CEO heard was that the games were getting too padded and big yet Valhalla is the most padded game in the entire series and Shadows base game alone to 100% is as big as Valhalla's base game and then you add in Claws of Awaji and it's another 30ish hours. I have no idea why they insist on the "country" model for these games, it's completely unnecessary.
>>725955927because piggies like you keep hoovering it up
>>725955995Hey, I grab these games only when they're $20-40 which is months if not years after launch. Don't put this on me.
>>725950252AC games are my guilty pleasure and I 100% them expect Valhalla. Bloated becomes a new meaning with it.
>>725956072you're going up against the wall with the rest of them, pigboy
>>725946916"main story" is kinda misleading. You do some main story at the very beginning, do some sidequests for 50 hours then the game tells you to do the final mission
>>725957083The "main story" is all the stuff not-Kassandra tells you to do at the war table. It constantly features Order of the Ancients members which constitutes the main story of Valhalla specifically even if it's sending you to randos you will never see more than once in other regions.
I got 320hr
