Just got this Retriod as my first handheld
What games/systems I should play on it?

If you bought the pro variant you can practically emulate any PS2 game. Most 3DS games will also work fine, with a bit of shader compilation stuttering here and there
If you bought the base variant it's a bit iffier
>>
Pocket 4 Pro is pretty damn good, especially if you got it on its recent price slash to $140/$150

You can do everything up to and including PS2 and Gamecube quite comfortably, most/all Wii should also be a breeze
>>

I did buy the pro variant
Also many watched videos where it showed that the device is capable of playing Vita games too, including Persona 4

Is Wii emulation more demanding than PS2?
Apparently 4 Pro struggled running Shadow of the Colossus, and that's a really demanding game
>>
>>725948045
Wii emulation is in fact more demanding than PS2 on average, it's notable in some ports like Sonic Unleashed PS2 versus Wii, generally Wii supports higher res textures and all that (Gamecube is already a more powerful system than PS2 but it's typically easier to run because the PS2's architecture is very strange)
>>
>>725948127
I keep forgetting that Gamecube is supposed to be more powerful than the PS2 because some multiplat games look worse there. I guess that's what happens when you're working with a disc size that's less than 1.5GB

The burn your fucking house down game
>>
Wonder how long it will take for these androids handhelds to be able to run steamOS and play steam games.
>>
>>725949286
Speaking of, which multiplats should be played on GameCube vs PS2?
>>
>>725949507
Theoretically any of them could if they're also capable of running barebones Linux distros
>>
>>725949871
The ones that came on Gamecube first
Like Super Monkey Ball, RE4 and Killer7
>>

get artemis/apollo and stream from your pc. its really good as long as you dont leave your house.

all steamOS requires is mesa driver support at the minimum. snapdragon gen2 and gen3 supports mesa and can boot rocknix.

The Def Jam fighting games

true crime games are better on ps2
ssx tricky and ssx 3 have more moves on ps2 due to a controller limitation, but i think there’s an AR code to add the moves to the other versions
crash games are all better on ps2
dbz budokai is 60fps on ps2 vs 30fps, but I think you can fix this with dolphin

Nice choice, anon. I myself just got a Anbernic RG477M because it sounded like a real good device for the money.

you know you could buy literally any 2nd hand Galaxy Tab flagship and connect whatever gamepad you want to it without risking a literal housefire
>>
>>725950494
I give it less than one year once the Frame releases cause that has a SD Gen3 running SteamOS, and most higher-end chinkhelds are using that chipset now. All it depends on is Valve support.

LMAO, worst Korea Phones are some of the worst in terms of being pocket bombs. Only thing worth getting their in regards to tech in Korea is anything that SK hynix makes basically, everything else is basically e-waste trash.
