I think a big part of the problem is the perception how Nintendo came across as antagonistic even though it probably wasn't intentional. They saw people having the wrong kind of fun and jumped in immediately to put a stop to that fun even though they are usually pretty slow with updates, which really annoyed me and probably many others. It has everything necessary to be a good game except for the structure to allow you to play the good parts efficiently. I do think it gets too much hate since it is mechanically a very good game and the tracks are excellent, which people will ignore and pretend like the open world causes everything else to not exist. I even think the open world other than intermissions is really fun. However, I do also understand some complaints since Nintendo intentionally makes it difficult to enjoy the game to its fullest. >>725959872Crossworlds is a good game and I never see bots unless someone disconnects. Something must have gone really wrong in the image you posted, which wouldn't surprise me since it becomes apparent that Sega's servers are held together with duct tape if you try to actually keep a group together rather than playing with randoms where it just resets the room every match. It is an unfortunate fact that threads for both games will get people trying to start trouble like the "Sonic won" poster here or "Dead game lol" in every single thread for either game.

It's not as bad as some say but it could've been better. The open world stuff isn't very interesting, I would've rather seen that development time go to more tracks. Tracks themselves are way too wide to accomodate for the higher player count, making them worse. The intermissions are a nice idea in theory but they're long and boring, should've been much shorter. The character select screen is a disaster
