Wow, silver surfing is way stronger in SSS than in current online. The drift gauge fills faster due to the higher speed, which means invincibility uptime is even better. I was just practicing a bit in case the new Legend-only mode is SSS, but wew lad.

I've noticed you lose a lot of speed during snap drifts. I assume it's due to part of the boost going in your original direction instead of the new one, but speed can drop by around 50 and the boost itself won't fully correct that. But sometimes I barely lose any speed, and I'm not sure what the difference is. Stacked boosts? Shallow snap angle? Something else entirely?I think for optimal SSS time trials you'd only use it with a boost wisp to cancel out the speed loss immediately, or if you were already majorly slowed down for a turn (looking at you, Urban Canyon lap 3).
