Why did it fail?
I had one i remember it had 16 gb memory and only had like 5 games on it. Still played the fuck out of persona 3 portable with it.
Way, way too early to start pushing digital only on people. Most people still used UMDs, especially in Japan.
>>725957147Everyone's games were on UMD. Also the regular PSP was so easy to hack, and had an sd card slot already, that it was functionally made obsolete by piracy years before it even came out.
>>725957687It was the combination of trying to be digital only in an era when even PC games still had physical releases, and Sony's retardation with pricing with their shitty proprietary memory cards. A lesson they didn't fucking learn when they made the Vita.
>>725957874The PSP never had an SD card slot. It had a Memory Stick Duo slot. You could use an adapter, but you needed CFW to do so.
>>725957147Digital only before in a very physical landscape and the form factor made it worse for anything you'd wanna claw for (Monster Hunter).
>digital only>playstation store was absolute dogshit
>>725957147Came out too late in the PSP's life cycle, anyone who wanted one likely already had oneAnyone who already had a PSP would not buy a Go because it was digital-only, and all their games were on UMDs with no system to redeem digital versions
>>725957147The normal PSP was more for less.
>>725957147The slider felt so absolutely good.
>>725957147>released 5 years after the OGwhat were they expecting?
>>725957147It was the equivalent of Nintendo making the Switch Lite $500 and without a cartridge slot.
>>725957147>advertise Kingdom Hearts BBS on PSP go>it's not available to purchase or download digitallyand that's when I jailbroke my PSP go
