Merchandising, movies, theme parks and the works. Video games WILL eventually fall to the wayside and will no longer be their central focus or even their biggest bread winner. It's more a matter of "when" not "if". It also won't matter how far the quality of the games drop since they are guaranteed to sell regardless of what Nintendo does.
