So much talk about the Steam Machine but the most interesting Part to me was this
Are you buying the Deckard?
I am not thrilled they went with LCD over OLED
But the 6GHZ USB dongle seems nice
Playing PCVR on my Quest 3 every now and again there is a stutter caused by the connection to the Router, Deckard should have flawless wireless PCVR
>>
If the Frame is able to play Quest 3 apks, then I'm sold. I want to play Arkham but don't want to give any money to Shekelberg.

if you biu quest3 zuck loses money

If performance and price checks out, it might win me over to finally give a VR a shot. Maybe.
>>
Nobody is going to buy it because it will be $1000+

I'd buy it if it's able to replace my monitors. It would need a decent passthrough and support for corrective lenses.

I would have 100000% bought it if it was just a wireless VR headset that could utilize your GPU but now I'm not so sure

In order to have pancake lenses (a must today) they can't use oled (not bright enough yet)
>>
>>725960602
Isn't that what it does when you stream to it?
>>

It comes with a 6ghz dongle that does just that. The only wire needed is for charging, which you can do while playing as well. From what I've heard, the wireless connection works perfectly with no notable latency.

The immediately most interesting part is that it's running SteamOS and supports x86 programs via emulation.
It sounds like an open computer in a VR form factor which is neat

Omg thank you, everyone I talked to said it only works as a standalone
>>

It does have standalone too, but as per usual, if you want proper gaming experience, you gotta use the dongle connection.
