Game has been in development for nearly a decade, charging $100-$500 alpha access and is still very, very far from finished, even in an enjoyable playable state. It will likely get reviewbombed due to people expecting at least a playable game and not testing one.

EA is, like I said, essentially an earlybird soft launch of the game, and the game does NOT appear to be in a playable state from what I've seen so far. It's in an alpha state. You do not release an actual alpha into early access.

>>725965569Context matters. I think they basically gave up. Steven probably lost morale years ago at this point. PoE2 is basically a released game and calling it an early access game is just weird. Ashes however is like you said it is. If people see it, sure it's an injection of money, but it will kill the game as well. No way they don't understand that.
