Haven't played it but I think it's a VN.That means you get dialogue options which will affect which ending you get at the end.
The gameplay is in the puzzles and there being branching routes so occasionally your choices are actually going to matter.The first chapter of the game where they're still trapped in their apartment is actually incredibly light on puzzles and hasn't reached any of the story branches yet. In other words you're asking where the game is because you haven't gotten far enough in yet.
