So there was a discussion in the other thread about Mile Maven on Taiki, and I've done a few rooms recently and 1. Taiki is just incredibly strong period, regardless of what you run on her. That's probably due to how Shooting to Victory triggers on this map after the patch (just gotta be in the top 5)2. Continuing from that notion, Mile Maven gives you a pretty serious boost at the start of the race, a little bit afterwards, so like a delayed groundwork. It allows you to get ahead of the pace blob and get into good position for Shooting to go off. 3. Changing Gears is similar, but goes off mid-race. I think this one is worth grabbing, it functions a bit like It's On but this will get you ahead of the pack as well. I was in a room full of pace chasers and it's really bad when your pace only has It's On! and you're like 7th and all these other Taikis are trigger Changing Gears and Mile Maven, you can't even get into position to get your unique off which is really bad. So I know stuff like determined/straight descent, No Stopping Me are great for this course for paces, but both Mile Maven and Changing Gears are worth grabbing Taiki, maybe even more than It's On. Professor of Curvature is also way better than it used to be because can get you in good position mid match or it can trigger on the final corner and give you that extra boost to really surge ahead. No Stopping Me is really good, I think it's a must grab. I'd say if you can only grab three golds for Taiki, Shifting Gears, No Stopping Me, and Mile Maven unironically. You can swap Mile or Shifting for Curvature, I don't think you need It's On as badly as the other paces when you have access to those great skills on Taiki. But these are just my observations. If you guys have seen something else or disagree feel free to debate it.

I'm just going off what I've seen. A lot of them are running Mile Maven, Changing Gears, it's proccing consistently and it's allowing them to get ahead. It's On is common, as is No Stopping Me, and Curvature is everywhere too. You can't really go wrong with any of those, but you want at least one, maybe two acceleration abilities early and/or mid match so you don't get stuck in the back behind everyone else.

But this is the first one to actually contend 1st place, and I think it might have to do with the extra power, because there is an uphill right at the end. Either way I remember someone saying its not stamina but power you need more of here, as close to 1,000 as possible and probably 700 stamina. Maybe moxie helped? But probably just luck. You can definitely make a better Suzuka, but I remember Oy Neigh’s danchou to have a similar power priority and not crazy stamina or anything. But he also had mile S and more abilities I believe. Plancha is not bad imo, it worked well in Cancer too when I ran Suzuka before Runaway.Also Ive experimented with groundwork and without it, but I still think it’s worth grabbing because it is noticeable as the Suzukas who do have it surge way ahead. Without it you’ll get to that position later, which actually makes you more susceptible to being passed.

It works as intended in that it debuffs all the umas in front of your gold city for a little bit but it's honestly a bit useless because it procs too early and doesn't really give you any advantage due to position keep. I've only found one good scenario and that is when two fronts are contesting a lead, when keen eye procs it would trigger a struggle and the front that was allied with gold city get ahead. Neat but pretty useless since we have runaway now. Other than that it decreased suzuka's average completion time by about .5 to 1 second

I tried to make a Matikanefukukitaru for Virgo earlier and she ended up getting Long S from the 6 Long sparks from one parent instead of Mile S from the 9 Mile sparks from the other parent
it seems that Pace and Lates will dominate this race once again, I've very rarely seen fronts win (even in public rooms with actual fronts instead of runaways) and taishin is... taishin, pace seems the most consistent while late is a gamble that wins every single time it hits it big
