>>725981182Starting with Turok 2 the series moved away from swampy jungles and dinosaurs and toward cybernetic lizard men and techno horrors. The second game is still great, but with a lot of confusing and maddening level design(the cave of the blind ones), fantastic weapons, and a lot of slowdown and framerate jank on the N64.The second one also has a problem with overheating the official ram expander until a video crash and it causes third party ones to actually catch fire. I don't play it on my actual N64 anymore because the machine is really old, and the last time turok 2 very nearly overheated and killed it. I had to have a PC fan overtop of the ram expander while I played.The third game is hot trash because they tried to put it in the real world and also rip off half life. The monsters are basically robots and bio-mutants, the bosses are shit, and the guns are all like M16s and handguns. On the other hand all the framerate issues are mostly fixed.Short form, as the series moves on it becomes less turok and more half life. Then there's the reboot on the Gamecube lol lmao
