It might be the "weakest" in the franchise, it has its problems, maybe the story isn't the best, but I love this game. The ambience, the colonial stuff with Spaniards, the golden idol which I thought was a good move, etc. I like the game. There are several people bashing the game on YouTube, but it's not that bad. Anyway, I think we have to keep in mind that it was literally the first in the franchise, it's almost like comparing GOW 1 with GOW 3 without considering that we're talking about the beginning of the franchise. Maybe the Spaniards turning into creatures is bizarre and a bit too fantastical, yes, but honestly? I thought it was cool. Maybe it doesn't fit so well with the following games and seems a bit out of place, but it's cool to think that there's a kind of zombie or vampire virus.

I ended up going on a PS3 kick and curated a small collection of physical games that I never got the opportunity to play. I even dusted off my parents old Panasonic Viera plasma TV which turned my room into an oven, but now I have a weird but fond nostalgia for that specific time and console gen. Reminds me that I need to get through Uncharted 3 one of these days, but maybe i'll wait till the dead of winter when i'm feeling cozy
Uncharted 1 was fantastic. Albeit felt more like a demo in retrospect.
