Is it useful
>$5 for input lag
>>725989432Depends, are you trying to bruteforce 60fps to any 30fps only games you're emulating that otherwise lacks a 60fps patch?, then yes.
>>725989432nothing made after 2005 is useful. Video games have done nothing but devolve into complicated messes since then.
>>725989870This but it's actually better than 60 fps patches for any game that's retarded enough to tie physics to fps (a fuckton of them)
i'm currently using it to play twilight princess at 45fps instead of 30, and it's basically perfect. if i run at 60 i can see a bit too much artifacting but at 45 it's near-perfect and the game is much more enjoyable. the program works better the more real frames it has to work with
>>725989432yes but for me it's mostly used on movies and anime i've used in a few more casual multiplayer games like HD2 and it's fine it's much much better if you have a good framerate to start with
>>725989432It's quite dumb. Both the normal frames and fake frames are visible. The problem is the fake frames are so distorted it looks more like seeing two simultanious images rather than motion or a proper sequence.
It's good for emulators
>>725989432Don't know how anyone can stand the artifacting, but then again people don't disable the motion compensation on their TVs either
I expect so.I much prefer to watch video pixelated using windows gdi as renderer in VLC.That also enables and is better by video being lower resolution. Compression methods aren't a problem then.Bicubic upscale is very good if you want smooth. Biliniear is bad.Colours are more vibrant without filtering. At least with otherwise than nearest neighbour or this method. Nearest neighbour is likely much faster, not as good, but still the pixelated and vibrant you/I want.TAA is a majior leap forward. nearly free supersampling. Antialiasing is an extreme cost without that and post processing methods. It shouldn't have been used or available until TAA debuted. Games degraded for antialiasing is very stupid, framerate is better to make world better perceived than antialiasing. More going on more to see.TAA's problem is dulling colours, brights are less bright. That could be countered and cured, needs to be. This could help that a l;ot.It's a shame it's for a price, on the degenerate store "steam" and not compatible with older OSs. Good though. Should be an option you can select via driver. Maybe can't expect some doing something great to do everything. Buit sometimes people do the wrong thing on purpose ot through bad taste or ideas they're superior. Not being able to set frames rendered ahead/prerendered frames to 0 is a majior fuckup too. Most would prefer no input lag to "smoother" visuals fighting the system for control.Lots of wrong things have been forced. Texture filtering and bicubic scaling one of them. If texture filtering then needs to be at least trilinear.Sometimes, maybe usually things are done better, look better, with less performance used/wasted.Bloat is degenerate. Like the fat of programming. Optimisation is worse. Aka downgrades. The gooks that have taken over graphics don't have taste. Last time Nvidia did was the Dawn demo. That's how you should treat them. Like they're still that.
>>725989432The only use I've got out of this is forcing old 30fps locked games to run at 60fps, but I don't even do that anymore since I got used to 30fps again.
>>725989432I use it to upscale my rpg maker porn games
For some games (60fps locked camera emulated stuff) it's great. Free smoothness with no downsides. For most normal games you get insane input lag and nasty artifacts so it's garbage.
>>725989432I just used it today. Its amazing. Witcher 3 looks and runs super well.

Good games dont need upscaling or fake frames. If it doesnt run at 60fps native with 1080p low to mid range hardware on high/medium settings its not a good game.I'm not playing the outer woke 2I'm not playing alan woke 2I'm not playing doom slop agesI'm not playing monster hunter slopsI'm not playing expedition thirty slopI'm not playing slopspokenI'm not playing assasins creed slopI'm not playing silent hill wokeI'm not playing slopfieldI'm not playing awokedAll the good games can be played still with an RX 580 at 1080p high settings at 60-120fps+. Doom eternal runs at high settings 120fps on an RX 580
