>Marketing makes big deal of this being canon
>Literally one character provides any new info of interest and everything is just the TotK flashbacks with more mook battles.
Why does this exist?

Because I'm in it, PAY YOUR VOICE ACTORS

Because I like warriors games and I think the dual tech mechanic is cool.
Like the one from Fire emblem warriors but with special custom combos

Is Dynasty Warriors Origins a better musou than this, or even the first Hyrule Warriors?

all musou games are the same
I just like the music remixes they do for them

the first hyrule warriors is way better than age of calamity/imprisonment
I'm going through imprisonment right now and its pretty bad for $70. The only good thing I can say is that I like the knight construct and the characters are fun to play. The maps and missions were phoned in real hard. The story is just boring and they failed to flesh out the sages besides maybe Ardi.

Origins is better than any musou released after 2005, HW1 is alright but it's pretty standard HD era musou with some really shitty officer/boss fights to drag it down.
