Playing through Corruption for the first time on Primehack. Well actually I rented it back in 2007 but never bothered to give it another go till now.It's...different from 1 and Echoes. Not sure if good or bad but I'm still early in (just beat Ridley and got the Hypermode). I like the other bounty hunters. They're neat.
when the fuck are they releasing the Echoes remaster?

>>725996792So apparently, from some leaks over the years people have put together >After Harmony was cancelled, Nintendo wanted Retro to remake the entire Prime Trilogy>But then Bamco's Prime 4 got cancelled and Nintendo put it on Retro and told them just do the first game so they could get used to working on Metroid again and then do Prime 4. Nintendo then handed off Echoes and Corruption's remasters to "another developer" The only issue is if this was years ago, Echoes and Corruption's remasters should've dropped by now. It wouldn't make sense to hold them till after Prime 4.Maybe shit happened and they got cancelled/put on the back burner
>>725996658The early portion is the worst part of the game, it starts properly once you land on bryyo after the extended intro. Still not as good as 1/2 but good nonetheless
>>725996658Prime 3 is a cool game, but as others said the early parts really are too much. Too much handholding, hallway-tier areas, and a LOT of dialogue that you have to stop and read text boxes for. But once you start getting into the meat of the game is becomes more traditional. And I, too, like the other hunters. I wish we got to see more of Gandrayda and Rundas.
>>725996658Echoes is more of a refinement of what worked with Prime, Corruption is more experimental. While Echoes is my personal favorite, Corruption does some fun things that I enjoy a lot, it's just that as a more experimental game it has the tendency of having higher highs and lower lows.
>>725997038I couldn't care less who develops the remasters as long as they look like Prime Remastered, they already have a perfect blueprint, they just have to follow it.
>>725996658Reach the abandoned place and you will be happy you stuck with the game.
>>725998457>they already have a perfect blueprint, they just have to follow itThat's why which developer it is matters, because some of them can't even do that.
