They've traditionally underpriced and had underpowered hardware, to make it easier to convince parents to splurge for their children. The gameboy was HALF the price of it's other competitors. The DS had major trouble when it's price was within spitting range of the Vita. Now? You can just play an indie game straight from steam on even the shittiest laptop. And established IP is weakening simply because there is such a large flood of new thing. It's so easy for something to come along and sweep the consumer off their feet ruining YEARS of careful planning.
