I’m on chapter 13 and I’m trying to finish all the side content before I proceed to the endgame. All the side quests and protorelic stuff. There’s just so much. I am now at a side quest where I basically have to beat all the high scores for the golden saucer and I can’t be fucked. Should I just ignore it and go fight Sephiroth?

Even if you weren't already fatigued and not wanting to do it, the content is designed expecting you won't do everything before finishing the story. The end off the protorelic quests gives you boss fights that are scaled for being at the level cap, which is like 20 levels higher than you probably are when you get access to proceed to Temple of the Ancients, and the final rewards are crafting recipes that require you to have access to hard mode chapter select to get the materials.
