Because it is good. 8 GB of vram should've been the absolute limit. If you look at games who ask for 8 gb of vram at maximum they still look good today. Meanwhile modern devs ask for more and more vram only to give people games that look shit and run like shit without fake frame technology.Developers should've always been required to work with limitations rather than get spoiled by constantly inflating hardware requirements.

It can trick your PC into giving you like 80 extra frames, but you can usually see the skipping and pacing issues with frame generation. It isn't worth using most of the time.
