what are some good games where I can go here ?
>>
>>726011934
Space Engine, Elite Dangerous, X4 Foundations.

its only Space Engine where can you "land" on Saturn
>>
As in its orbit? Because there's nothing there to "go" to.
>>
>>726011934
Nigger it's one giant, barren yellow cloud. You'd have no ground to stand on, and you wouldn't be able to see past your space helmet due to its thick atmosphere.

We still have no idea why it's shaped like a hexagon btw.
>>
>>726012162
It's because of its moons and Jupiter pulling it around. It's as simple as that.

theres moons and you can get up close in games like Elite Dangerous, I think most people realize its a fucking gas giant, it is a Kino planet though
>>726012162
Jews unironically believe the Throne of Satan exists at the center of the hexagon over there
>>
>>726011934
Starfield would have been more kino if they kept it to the solar system and created actual maps for the moons of Saturn and Jupiter instead of the shit we got.
>>
>>726012162
i don't care, it looks cool, so does the swirling giga storm or whatever it is in the center of the hexagon too
>>
>>726012162
look up saturn and the cube
>>
>>726012561
>so does the swirling giga storm or whatever it is in the center of the hexagon too
The entire hexagon is a storm, anon...
>>
>>726012672
yeah but the big swirl in the center is different colors making it extra cool

Why can't scientists just land on it?

They're called "gas" giants for a reason.
>>
you can land on saturn, and by land i mean instantly eviscerated by the wind and reduced to your component atoms and becoming one with it.

Reminder that Saturn is the reason why we're all here. In the early solar system, Jupiter was falling inward towards the Sun, romping its way through what is now the inner solar system, dispersing or absorbing most of the material that would have enabled Mars to grow larger and would have done the same to Earth. It was only because Saturn, also falling inwards towards the Sun, caught up to Jupiter and their gravity formed a resonance that eventually pulled both giants back to where they orbit today, allowing Earth to develop in such a way that eventually life was able to form.

SpaceEngine or Kitten Space Agency (but it doesn't have rings yet).
>>726012425
Shartfailed is at its core a shitty pajeetified piece of DEI "United Earth" slop.

>>726013226
Cassini went inside the atmosphere but it probably disintegrated before hitting any solid surface.

But also Jupiter now protects us from asteroids, so I guess he was going on his villain arc until Saturn decided to bring him back to the good side.

ΔV: Rings of Saturn
>>
>saturn has a ring
>saturn (chronus) is the god of time
>time is cyclical
>clocks are round
And people will claim it’s just a coincidence
>>
>>726012064
that's a myth
gas giants have a solid core
>>
>>726013927
I remember when I was in kindergarden, a kid told me that you could walk on the rings of saturn, and simply fly through saturn itself.
I thought he was full of shit

>>726013043
which of X3 games is the best for beginner?
>>
>>726011934
https://store.steampowered.com/app/906100/Observation/
it's a game where you basically play as HAL 9000 and your space crew gets spooped to death by Saturn's hexagon.

They all have learning curves like a brick wall, but I think Terran Conflict is probably the easiest to start with mechanically. Albion Prelude fixes a lot of its minor issues, but the Terrans and Argon (Humans not from the Solar System) are at war in AP so a bunch of their sectors are dangerous war zones. Its plots are easier to complete, but you'll probably be even more over your head compared to Terran Conflict.
X3 Reunion is a direct sequel to X2 and its ship balance is still pretty wonky
X3: Farnham's Legacy is an ascended fan mod by powergamers who don't actually like X3.
