Remembered playing a demo of this game recently and realized the full thing is out already.Just finished it, really cool metroidvania.I feel like it did a lot right, the only things I didn't like was the puzzles and bow shooting in general felt kinda awkward, the map being kinda barren of stuff to do besides progression and the weapons feeling a little floaty and samey and the weird red/blue gimmick of constantly switching to fight optimally, that was a bit finnicky.Talk about it.
>>726013298I thought the red/blue switching was the main thing going for it, very standard castlevania otherwise. Though yes the bow was a little awkward, I think it was fun enough to master. The reflection puzzles with it felt mostly fine. Minigames were lacking, but I learned Craps for the first time, so that was cool.I watched the ova before thinking it would be necessary, but I don't think it was needed. Well, I guess it is needed but only because the in game characterization is so lacking, there's next to no plot needed to remember. The conclusion was pretty straight forward considering how Deedlit is an elf, so no shit Parn will die of old age before her. Though I never read any elf-human romance, so I guess it's neat in that I didn't see it before. Frieren did the time passing for elves much better, when I watched it a few months later.
>>726013298every team ladybug game is the same shit as the lasti still enjoy them
I'm going to be honest. I hardly remember it. It took me like 6 hours to beat and was just kinda forgettable. It's not like it was bad, but it was just really short and didn't really do anything that made it stand out.
>>726014403Feels like they're getting worse though. I liked Luna Nights more than Wonder Labyrinth, and liked that more than Blade Chimera.
>>726014398>I thought the red/blue switching was the main thing going for itIt was... interesting.I just don't think it really added anything to the game.>>726014403Are their other games better?I remember playing the smt one with jack frost, I don't remember if it was just a demo or the whole game is like 20 minutes.I also know they did the touhou one, is that one good?>>726014453I mean it was pretty and some of the later bosses were cool but yeah that's kinda the problem, the minute to minute gameplay was kinda just going through the motions of a very barebones metroidvania.
>>726014561blade chimera is pretty sick but it is pretty much just sci fi deedlit
>>726014605>I just don't think it really added anything to the game.Well, I think the way it slowly regenerates HP vs MP, and changes the element of your base attack was neat. And being able to be immune to certain attacks felt clutch in places. It's been awhile though, so maybe I misremember things.
>>726014853It felt like that about 10% of the time, the other 90% it was more like>boss does the attack>ah shit which one is it i forgot, tap tap tap tap tap scroll madly though all of them>still get hit anywayAnd just smacking the fucking meat to gather the bits for levels and switching it between arbitrary barriers that are always in the way right when you fall asleep because it takes forever to traverse the map and you do so much backtracking.
>>726014561This honestly, Deedlit I still enjoyed a lot but with Blade Chimera, for me personally there's definitely something missing. I used to buy their games on release but I doubt I will next time
>>726015321idk i thought it was pretty dopei liked the mechanics much better than deedlit's very strange floating and boring spells
