The Blade Runner point and click game. But not the remaster.Heavy Rain is entertaining despite its flaws.

>>726013794The Wolf Among Us
>>726014046>Episode 2 got delayed by several months after release due to a whole rewrite because players found out that the killer was the skinny ginger guy in Episode 1>Also writer for the game got extremely pissed off at people finding out about it

>>726013794sorry to say most are either going to be telltale style games or anime visual novels.
>>726014410Wtf is this>>726014742This good?
>>726013794>Make a detective game about investigating crimes and with different outcomes depending if you get things right or wrong, the centerpiece being the dialogue system>Every single dialogue option comes with an obnoxious "you got it right" or "you got it wrong" jingle that immediately tells you if you screwed upWhat were they thinking?
>>726015670>Wtf is thisPoint n click adventure game with animal headed characters in a Noir setting.
>>726013794>>726013942>>726014046Still haven't played LA Noire, Heavy Rain and Wolf Among Us, think I should do it finally. Which should I play first?
>>726015670>This good?it's a good telltale style game based on an excellent comic series. closest thing to la noire in tone you'll get from what i know

>>726013794>heavy rain is shilled as being so hard to get perfect ending on first play through on release>literally get perfect ending on first playthrougham I just autistic? every uh "choice" seemed perfectly normal.
>>726013794Pretty good mystery to it and a lot side content too if you want that
>>726013794The obvious answers are Obra Dinn and Golden Idol. Nothing else comes close. But if you're willing to settle for some easy stuff, Sherlock Holmes Chapter One and Crimes and Punishments have fun stories even though they're paint by numbers obvious shit rather than real whodunnits. There's also Duck Detective and Detective Grimoire if you're really desperate but they're also very easy and you'll solve 'em long before the games allow you to. Murders on the Yangtze River is okay, but it's largely a Phoenix Wright clone moreso than it is a whodunnit. I really enjoyed Lucifer Within Us and would call it the best whodunnit aside from Obra Dinn and the Golden Idol games but it's only like 2.5 hours long unfortunately so it's difficult to justify buying if it's not on sale. Definitely pick it up during a sale if you enjoy Obra Dinn or Golden Idol though.
>>726013794Murdered Soul Suspect
>>726016427Oh also I forgot to mention Unheard - Voices of Crime. It's a decent whodunnit but I became impatient with it because I autistically care about Steam achievements and there's an achievement for solving each case without rewinding/fast forwarding the audio. In a whodunnit where you solve cases by listening to audio from the crime scene, sitting through retards talking about smoking while taking a shit drove me mental so I dropped it in the second case. I think someone more patient than I would enjoy it though. Not a murder mystery, that case was an art heist, but it has the same appeal.
>>726014257thanks for the spoiler, asswipe
>>726016009LA Noire, out of these three, it's the one that it is an actual game.
>>726016321Seconding this. Personally I had to drop it about half-way through as I could not stand the main character but I seem to be in the minority when it comes to hating him.
>>726013794How can I help, detective?
>>726017173Detect THIS *unzips penis*
>>726013794solve your own murder in this kino adventure
>>726014046oof. that one hit hard. Especially how Bloody Mary gets beneath the Wolf's skin talking about his mother
>>726013794YOU FUCK YOUNG BOYS VALDEZ?
>>726016009Something everyone should know beforehand:>If you aren’t up on the history of the title, the original premise for L.A. Noire was that you were playing a cop that doubted everyone. As such, the original three prompts were “Coax,” “Force” and “Accuse,” and all dialogue was recorded with that in mind. Later, these prompts changed into “Truth,” “Doubt” and “Lie,” but everything else remained the same. It had the side effect of turning Cole into a psychopath when selecting “Doubt,” which has spawned a bunch of memes based on his angry demeanor.I think the remastered version changed the dialogue options, so it might not be an issue anymore.
>>726017173>>726017692
>>726017784I think they're called "Good Cop", "Bad Cop" and "Accuse" for the re-master
>>726017543This looks good
>>726016442Hugely underrated.

>>726018249yeah great game
>>726018358I actually had no idea it was made by the Monkey Island blokes. Explains why I liked it so much though. I've never heard of Maniac Mansion but I'll give that a look now.
