>RPGs have good replay value
Why do people make this obviously incorrect claim? The main reason Mass Effect 1 and BG3 are so good is the fact that on a blind play through the central mystery and unexpected finds when exploring are so fun. Now BG3 does fumble hard when you get to the end of act 2 (probably due to hasbro forcing them to do rewrites). And neither game is like Outer Wilds level of you can't replay it, but much like outer wilds both games are good because you're experiencing the narrative for the first time and finding all those cool side things like the gnolls or the toll collector or the pirates in ME1. When you try to replay the game you realize how on rails the whole thing is.
