ITT: Overhated vidya levels and locations
>>726018384What's that? The city from Witcher 3? Never had any issues with it.
>>726018384Ass level but you can kill a Mossad agent so that's based.
>>726018384Dragon Age Origins - Deep Roads
>>726018384It has like 16 entry points and was always one of the easiest maps in WoA for me, even with a tower spawn. I always hated Hokkaido more
>>726018384I've warmed up to it a bit over time. The only problem with it is how restrictive it is to have a map just FULL of hostiles. Every time I get the inkling of going up and doing a sniper challenge on there I just think about what kind of cleanup I need to do getting up to and then off the water tower undetected and it's like the perfect way to produce the most consistent low-grade tension headache. Some of it is skill issue, but it's not so bad.>>726018773Hokkaido at least has novelty and enough public spaces going for it.
>>726018384bitches need to get gud and stop whining. it's NOT a hard game. It's all just a glorified tetris. everything is scripted. colorado is no exception.
i don't know if it was just because i grew up with HL2/GMod and as such have mastered the supposed jank of this thing or what, but i always like playing through the airboat section in HL2
>>726018384Never played this, but it looks really cozy.
>>726019804you can throw apricots at people. so there's that.
>>726019804It's the worst level in the Hitman reboot trilogy. It's bland, not visually interesting and has that shitty orange/brown/desaturated sunset filter. Basically it's the game using its visuals to make a 2017 game look like a 2009 game for a whole level.
>>726019647Nobody ever complained about Colorado being hard, people complained about it being kinda shit.
>>726019804It's not. Now, Hokkaido on the other hand, that one's super cozy.
>>726018384Chongqing
>>726020020Colorado is fucking beautiful tho, I say that as an europoor
Actually liked this place, all criticism are valid but I liked it still. All the half torso dragons were creepy as fuck and gave me that feel when you entered a high level dungeon in a MMORPG but all enemies are passive until you fuck up and they swarm you.
>>726021846I may like it but I do prefer it to TotG. With Izalith at least it's easy to run through, and the architecture is cool.
>>726019541>how restrictive it is to have a map just FULL of hostilesIt's very easy to get engi/guard outfit and just walk around pouring water on electric sockets and leaving explosive canisters everywhere. I forgot the last time I had to actually shoot or stab anyone on that map. It is truly overhated.
>>726018384i always wondered if you could play hitman woa like a splinter cell gamei know the game gives you so many creative ways of killing your targets, but i also like to just move stealthly and snap some necks while i make my way to the targeti understand that the point of hitman is to kill your targets with basically no one ever noticing you were on the map, but people have told me that going loud sometimes it's possible just extremely hardok but what about going semi-loud?
Just don't sperg out and try running through like a retard. It's not like the boss at the end is anything to worry about, you won't have to run back 50 times.
>>726022535What the fuck does "semi-loud" even mean? Sam Fisher is canonically a ghost. And SASO exists, which, in Colorado, is entirely sneaking around.
>>726023193NTA but I assume semi-loud means killing civilians and guards in your way, rather than finding an alternative route or a flawless collateral.
>>726023849So just... normal loud?
>>726024064Normal loud would be alerted enemies. Are you dense?
>>726022535Look up suit only runs
>>726024484>drop a chandelier on someone>enemies alerted>therefore this is a normal loud run
>>726018384The concept of a level where everything is hostile is cool, but it gets kind of annoying and the whole thing is too flat.
>>726024613Are they shooting at you and are you returning fire like nobody's business?
>>726021410What? People consistently rate that as one of the best levels alongside Germany and Hokkaido.
>>726021009I like Hokkaido well enough, but I prefer Sapienza. It has everything:>A network of tunnels and caves>A church and cemetery>A sunlit beach>A town with winding streets>A luxurious villa overlooking the town>A ruined castle overlooking the villa, with working cannonsAnd all of that in vibrant colors and intricate detail. I also like Isle of Sgail, which is atmospheric in its own different way.
>>726024613accidental kills don't alert anyone
>>726025265There used to be a lot of people here shitting on it because of the underground
>>726025349Sapienza really shines with Freelancer Variations mod, sneaking into the church basement to off a priest is absolute kino
>>726025265People who like Berlin are fucking retards anyway, so it checks out.
The gimmicks just not that cool (killing everyone from the house) for the mission. But also you have to kill 4 people so if miss your chance in your routine to kill one of them from the house you got to wait a while. Also from Hitman 1 to Hitman 2 they added more enforcers to you had to re-learn a new hard mode SA/SO route again. >>726025051>and the whole thing is too flat. This is definitely part of it. Could have taken place on the side of a mountain to give ti verticality. I mean it's Colorado after all.
>>726025349>I also like Isle of SgailIt's a great designed map with an extremely shitty and limiting scenario. It's kind of like Colarado in which the majority of the map is hostile to suit only, which adds tedium to it.It really could use a new bonus mission like Sapienza. I wish the devs didn't go pure lazy Hitman 2 and 3 as far as new content goes. Hitman1 having both bonus missions and a bonus campaign is far more supriour than some eslacation challenge bullshit. Isle of Sgail desperately needed a bonus mission.
>>726025390Not that anon, but this changed since the initial release of Htiman 2016 (maybe when they released hitman2?). But it used to be accidentals would mess up your silent assassin.
>>726025852>It's a great designed map with an extremely shitty and limiting scenario.I don't even find the scenario itself limiting, but the execution. So much wasted potential for proxy kills>have to disguise as MC, can't just manipulate the fireworks>can't shove an explosive up Janus' ass>have to disguise as pledge to get the electric chair killJust off the top of my head, I think I had more back then when I was freshly disappointed by that map.
>>726018489Novingrad. Issue is just pacing. No man landing is tight. With bloody baron. Kiera and witches. Only big sidequest is tower full of mice. On otherhand. Novingrad is mess. Main Quest is kinda meh and feels way too long and story is kinda mess. Then you are bombarded with side quest after sidequest. It goes way too long and pace is bad. This is consequences of story cuts. Orginally game was 3 act long. All the sidequests in Novingrad were orginally part of main quest in act 2. And some expanded parts if orginal script got rammed into same mess. That part of game just burns you out and you end up hating whole place
>>726021410It looks cool with the street lights, but yeah get rid of the underground lab and it's all of a sudden a good level. >>726025265Those people are probably Chinese who are forced to rate it highly. It's objectively flawed with the underground lab.
>>726018583even the deep roads are better than the entire intro up to redcliff
>>726021846>>726023026Both fun locations. I also truly enjoy Blighttown.
>offices-labs has the loop of getting to <new area>, getting your shit pushed in by <new enemy>, scraping together resources in <area> to increase your power, and then leaving for <next area> being able to handily defeat most enemies in the current area, maybe struggle a little with the strongest ones>reactors turns this up to 11, enemies in reactors will fucking RAPE you while you're still in hydroplant gear and the resource bottlenecking and using the same resources for both level and gear progression ensures you do not match these enemies until you move on to shadowGATE>they somehow managed to replicate the feel of early offices where stealth is not only an acceptable alternative but also a recommended one>everyone loves offices-labs>everyone hates reactors
