The Deck attracted a lot of console gamers who were interested in getting into PC gaming as a simple console-like "buy it and it just works" option, I think the Cleveland Steam Box is designed with that specific demographic in mind. You could say they could just get a prebuilt, but most people will tell you not to do that and even if you did anyway you still have to know about PC specs to compare options and know what you're getting. Having a single option backed by the face of PC gaming has merit to someone who likes the plug and play simplicity of consoles.
