>>
>>726024605

am I the only one who's mad the top part is not a proper square
>>
>>726027298
they designed big picture mode and steamos to provide you a console experience that can still be a fully functional pc
they're the first to put hardware like this into a proper fitting form factor that saves money on cutting away all the overhead of typical pcs while also not thermally choking the hardware
>>
>>726024456
PS5 is both low powered and large.

it's rectangular enough for me, squares are overrated anyway

can't be helped, nintendo may sue them if it is perfect cube
>>
>>726024301
Even if it was significantly weaker, it's customization and ability to emulate/pirate games from most hardware more than makes up for it.
>>
>>726030330
It's literally an arch pc but worse in every way. You don't know what you are talking about.

describe the process of installing a linux distro and using a controller from the point of view of a normalfag

blessed gaben will sell it at a loss to save all the normies from consoles and windows 11 and bring us all into the era of steam linux gaming!
>>
>>726031093
because you're not on controller
that's what it's for
>>
>>726031251
That's not what they said. They said it will not be sold at loss. They don't aim to make it cheaper than real pc.
>>
I already have two kmtec mini pcs, maybe I'll get this cuckbox if it's like 400 bucks.
>>
>>726031431
it will be 800 bucks minimum
they are not selling at a loss
>>
>>726031413
>>726031479
Then, I ask respectfully, what is the point?
>>
>>726031323
yes I am
>>
>>726031413
it wont be a loss once you factor in the market share and increased steam sales
>>
>Gabecube becomes super popular despite having middling specs
>Companies that release games that require a 5090, 500GB of space and 40gb of RAM lose out on millions of sales because their games are not Gabecube compatible
>Shitty ass companies are forced to optimize their games
>PC gamers get another win
I can't wait bros
>>

It's a prebuilt PC with SteamOS pre-installed. That's about it. If they can price it comparably to either other prebuilts with similar specs or custom builds with similar specs, it'll do just fine.
I generally prefer to build my own PCs (I do more with them than gaming, so they don't always necessarily get game-specific hardware if not needed) but if this thing packs a good enough GPU for 1080p 60Hz and can drive three displays it'll probably be worth it for me if they keep it below $800.
Bear in mind Zen 3-4 can both go well into the 128GB+ RAM range, so even if it the "semi-custom" CPU is gimped compared to a desktop model, it'll probably still do fairly well as a workstation (barring graphic design or heavy C/C++ development).
Meh. Who am I kidding? I'm not its target audience. Still a neat looking box though.
