The current one. Boomers are so stupid pretending that old versions are better because they didn't have [thing you can easily remove if you hate it that much] like hunger, phantoms, even SPRINTING.Or they hate optional things you don't need to get in your world like elytra wings. But they lack the self control to, knowing it is available, not go out of their way to get it. But they are also to prideful to just mod it out, so instead they play a shitty outdated version with only 10% of the content the game has now.You can still have the beta experience if you play minecraft now because it is a sandbox and almost everything added is optional. You can count in your fingers the non-optional features (like hunger) and you can trivially remove them in 30 seconds of modding.

Wish you could turn more features on and off, hunger, the newer terrain generation, random shitblocks and mobs that don't add anything gameplay/drops wise are all garbage. Potions and a more developed nether are good though
