why does everyone act like the bad story was the only thing wrong with Other M? It genuinely played like fucking shit.
They tried to design a modern Action Game with basically a NES Controller and failed horribly at it.

I’ve never played this game, the only Metroid I haven played is the first and a ripped copy of Prime: Hunters that crashed midway through the first level.

Is Fusion good? Or Super Metroid?

Super Metroid is the foundation of modern 2D Metroid, playing it will help you understand the "flow" of other 2D Metroids. If you want to dive into 2D Metroid that is where to start. But the game lacks quality of life so be warned, it won't be as noob friendly to jump in and may be frsutrating at times. Just play the games in release order:

>Super Metroid
>Metroid Fusion
>Metroid: Zero Mission
>Metroid Samus Returns
>Metroid Dread

Super is fantastic, fusion is awful

Must play games are super and the first two primes

ever notice how the "totally real, HARDCORE" Metroid fans literally only like Super, Prime 1 and maaaybe Prime 2 and that's it
Metroid is such a funny series man.
