Why don't more devs make western games after the success of Red Dead Redemption?

>>726036802>>726035373This is the real answer. The SJW elements that did make it into the game of RDR2 were so jarring with the rest of the immersion but thankfully weren't prevalent. RDR 1's story wouldn't survive in today's climate.This doesn't mean devs don't try with games like Call of Juarez and various others recently. Hunt: Showdown is a fairly popular wildwest era game, if extraction shooter. But if immersion and story is what you're looking for, it's a big no-no because of the more casual racism and terminology of the era whereas SJWs have a zero-tolerance policy to it. Which makes me sad because you see how many of the characters in RDR live up beyond the negative stereotypes while some of them embrace it, but it makes for great immersion.
