>Takes place 200 years after the apocalypse >Half of all the characters are ghouls or other immortals that have been alive since before the war
So what?
>>726038637yeah, ghouls live a long life
How is this an issue, it's the game that thematically wanted its world to feel the most like a pre war worldI think that's what's neat about this series, there's room for all sorts of motifs, from a world that is so distanced from our everyday one that it feels downright alien, to one that feels like it's trying hard to return to the one it knew despite the hardships, I like both
>>726038858its a retarded bethesda problem because fallout 4 decided that all ghouls now go feral eventually and randomly.which hilariously justifies all racism against them that they suffered in the previous games.
>>726038985Being a ghoul isn't special when every other character is a ghoul or a robot that's somehow still functioning.
>>726039413I agree with the robots, I think they're way overused Except Valentine I would himBut I sorta like the ghouls, yeah maybe there IS a few too many of them, but again in a game that tries to connect back more to the pre war era than previous installments it makes sense there would want to include many of those who remember itBut I can see how it can get boring when so many people can just straight up tell you what the world was like, I guess it does detract from the player having been there
Fallout works best when it's a bunch of isolated communities discovering the ruins of past civilization and trying to make heads or tails of what culture used to be like. Like the Kings trying to figure out Elvis or Diamond City not knowing how baseball works. The ignorance ties well into the "war never changes" meme because it sets up humanity to repeat the same mistakes as before without the context of how to stop it.When everyone remembers what life was life before the bombs, that's when the world loses its mystery.
>>726038637>takes place 200 years after the apocalypse>people still live in ruins with skeletons in them
>>726040415>skeletons still in the pose they died in after 200 years>houses still intact despite being made from plywood and lasting 50 years tops even when properly maintained
