Have you ever read a book based on a video game?
>>726042450I've read books in video games
>>726042450one intended for children that was like a narrative longplay of pokemon yellow with screenshots and pokemon illustrations. I remember tracing some of the art
I read a Shadowrun book because of the FPS from 2008 on the 360. That was the first time I read a book and was actually engaged.
>>726042450Final Fantasy 13 books, a few Halo, most Gears, and the first Resident evil (Jill is a dental freak).
>>726042450I read the companion novel for Deus Ex: Mankind divided that explained what happened between it and Human Revolution. Never got around to playing Mankind divided lol, tho it was nice to have some answers to the ending of HR.
Yes, the Max Payne 3: The Complete Series comic book.
>>726042734>Art is mostly realistically propostionist>Highly detailed illustrated mouth>Teeth are a single monotoothGoddamit
yes
>>726042450The LA Noire book is actually good.
I probably have about 10 Stalker books and don't remember anything from any of them.
>>726042450No, video game writing is awful enough as is. I'm somehow not retarded enough to read an entire book on it. You can see by OP's pic that the only games that get book adaptations are crap games to begin. Any game that focuses on a narrative will naturally be awful.
>>726042450A couple of the Halo novels are decent, and that Mass Effect clone that Hasbro is making has a tie-in novel that's pretty good (and will probably be better than the game).
i plan on reading the FFVII Remake novel about tifa and aerithi don't even like the game
How is there even a market for these? Who the fuck buys them?
>>726046184Lore autism. My school library had a copy of the Halo novel back in 07. Someone left a bunch of notes on the margins and sticky notes with extra info and game connections. Like dates and characters bios
>>726046184>Tom Clancy was a writer>Alan Wake is a video game about a writer
>>726047810>a book based on a game based on a book
>>726042450Yep
>>726042450I read the first halo book. It was decent.
>>726048189This Tom guy makes a lot of games.
The pre-wow warcraft books were acceptable.
>>726042450I've read Bungie era Halo books and I think they're pretty good
>>726042450no no I don't do this ones
>>726042450bioshock book, it was pretty ok for what it was.
>>726042450I read the Runescape ones.
