I'm a zoomer playing this for the first time. Just got to the Hub. It's kino
yeah it's pretty good man. just know that it's all downhill from here for the rest of the series.
>>7260546391 and 2 have soul that later games can't replicate. This everything is doomed and gone to shit and nothing will ever get better and I am just pissing in the wind doomer mentality few modern games replicate
>>726054894Eh I think even 2 shit the bed pretty quick on that. It hardly knew what 'take' on the setting to even stick to. And I don't think Avellone's aversion to keeping the tone from 1 was the best choice. It's not a complete disregard for what makes Fallout what it is like the later games but it's certainly subversive in that typical millennial way.
>>726054639For your sake I hope you're lying. You could be spending this time learning actual video games and instead you're wasting time on a super casual boring point and click adventure game pretending to be an rpg.
>>726056549post the top 5 necessary games to play. games you would pass on to a son.

>>726056862Why does sharty spam the board with shitty rpgs all day? If you can't play even a single video game what makes you think you should decide what /v/ is? Just posting the game over and over won't make it not shit, it'll just make /v/ boring and dead.
>>726054639I'm an alpher and playing this game for the first time. Just finished the first big quest, returned to my vault with a water chip. The game is boring as fuck. There is no depth to the combat besides "more damage--good" and counting action points and trying to aggro as few npcs at once as possible. The quests suck cock. They're easy to do, don't give you any interesting choices, don't even reward that well. The environment is even worse than Fallout 3 in terms of exploration because at least Bethesda knew to sprinkle loot everywhere to reward you for looking through shelves and mailboxes. One thing I'll give it is the barter system. Unlike most RPGs, the prices don't rape you, your fallen enemies actually carry what they're using. People who love this game have nostalgia goggles. It's slow as fuck and not engaging.
>>726054752Fallout 2 is mostly as great as the original, you just have to ignore all the pop culture garbo
>>726056549how do I learn video game
>>726054639Not into point and click games.> it isn't point and clickTo move anywhere l had to point and click.People found this tolerable back then? No wonder it is called the dark age of video games.
>>726058513to shoot in fps you have to point and click
>>726058603Not if you have aimbot enabled
>>726057393>the options are not outlined for me with a quest journal and a marker that outlines [SKILL] whenever i'm about to use a particular skill>this means that there are no options
>>726057393>I'm an alpher
>>726058603Not to move. If you want to move you can just move. You don't have to point on the map and tell the game you would like to be there now.
>>726054639didnt ask + unsubbed from your blog
>>726058742>dood you could also like uhm put a but into his table at night instead of baiting him in a conversationAgain, nothing interesting. You come to a place, everybody immediately spills their guts about the quests, just click enough on "go on" in the dialogue tree, the rest is plain and obvious. Calling people who don't find Fallout quests fun dumb is your best argument, yawn.
>>726057393I played it for the first time in 2008 and found it good. I did it with a walktrough tho
>>726054639Put all your points into agility, it determines how far you can move and how many times you can attack.
