>Metal Gear Solid Delta is the latest Unreal Engine 5 game to be suffering from big performance issues
>It appears as though any fears that you'll need to upgrade to the best graphics card from our buying guide to play these new games are unfounded, and instead, there is simply more work to be done on optimizing games for low-spec hardware.
>Speaking on the problems after Unreal Fest in South Korea in an interview translated by Clawsomegamer, he states "the main cause is the order of development," and further clarifies this by saying "many studios build for top-tier hardware first and leave optimization and low-spec testing for the end."
>In short, developers are too focused on appeasing gamers with high-end gaming PCs or consoles, and everyone else is suffering as a result.
>In the meantime, Sweeney confirms that more support is coming to developers using Unreal Engine 5, including "automated optimization across devices" as well as "expanding developer education" to ensure that optimizing early "becomes standard practice."
>Games such as Fortnite, Valorant, and Dead by Daylight have also made the switch seemingly without issue, so the main concerns appear to be with games fully developed for the first time using Unreal Engine 5.

Except the engine is so dogshit that it can't even make a proper 2d game. Too weak to make Jazz fucking Jazzrabbit.
>>
Why should a customer give a shit whose fault is it?
>>
>>726057116
honestly Fortnite runs like crap so I don't believe them
I like Fortnite but it could be optimized way better
>>
>>726057116
Remember when these retards said EGS was for devs? Lol
>>
um yeah no shit, arc raiders doesn't have issues.
>>726057472
so they know who to blame and complain to

>arc raiders doesn't have issues.
Arc Raiders LITERALLY DISABLED all the UE5 bells and whistles, such as Lumen and Nanite, making it look like a generic 2015's video game, that still needs 2020s' hardware to run "okay".

Fags praising that shit are ignorant cocksuckers of Epic.

>Arc Raiders LITERALLY DISABLED all the UE5 bells and whistles, such as Lumen and Nanite
which means the developers did the work themselves instead of dumping everything on the engine. why do you think every other ue5 game runs like shit?

>that still needs 2020s' hardware to run "okay".
I have a gtx 1070 and run 80 fps on high settings no problem

Unreal is shit but I'm glad it actually works on a base ps5 without looking and performing like dogshit.
>>
>>726058092
Because UE5 itself is shit AND the devs are lazy, incompetent hacks.

Seriously, export a 100% empty UE5 project as an .EXE, and that blank "game" will take ~350 megabytes, for no real reason.
