Donkey Kong Bananza was an 8/10 and Air Riders is an absolutely phenomenal game. Metroid will probably be great but I wont judge a game before it's out like you.The year is certainly lacking in the massive budget huge IP games you typically expect in a Nintendo console's first year, but obviously they're going to release a 3D Mario, Zelda, Smash, etc. I'm glad they didn't rush the games out before they were done to hit launch year.
