How is it possible to release 16 games and not one of them have a story that makes sense. Pic related is the worst offender. XV kinda made sense, only because I saw the movie and anime. You're actually better off just skipping the cutscenes when possible.

The Sakaguchi era (1-5) and the Kitase era (6 and 7) all make sense.

It's 8 onwards that were all made by different people that are the problem - you get rid of the original creators and your series falls apart.
