Like how apparently Visi was Shrould's payroll the entire time despite telling you repeatedly she's not.

>>726075051Its not "irrefutable". This fucking autistic just spams it every thread because his pajeet shiteating ass cant deal with the fact that he lost. People try to argue with him in good faith and get the same retarded arguments. Its simply not worth feeding (you)s with stupid people
>Courtney disobeyed Rob's order to let Lightningcuck (Shroud's henchman) get away>Courtney tripped Malevola so she couldn't catch him herself>Shroud somehow knows who Robert is banging>Shroud somehow knows the exact night the pulse is going to get grabbed>Shroud somehow arrives within seconds of Courtney>Shroud, despite being a murderous psychopath who capped a bartender for being annoying, doesn't kill Courtney after successfully ambushing her, nor does he rifle through her body for the pulse>Courtney busts in to steal the suit and can't actually explain why she'd otherwise be there>Courtney warns Thumbstick about RobertHer working for him secretly the whole time makes perfect sense. What doesn't make sense is why she comes back with the pulse. I understand her coming back on its own, she gets to guilt trip Cuckbert into accepting her non-apology and thus keep feeding Shroud information. But there's no reason to keep the pulse instead of handing it off to Shroud. The closest thing to a logical series of events I can contrive is that she was hedging her bets after E6, and was going to play the situation off against whoever won ("I was actually working for you the whole time Robert/Shroud, because [bullshit]"), because she knew that handing the pulse over to either of them would leave her with no leverage (and again, Shroud is a psychopath who kills people for no reason).
>>726074928Alright.Visi was just really fucking stupid and somehow convinced herself that Thumbstick would simply piss on Robert's shoes and be effortlessly taken out. She never once considered that alerting the guy with knife hands that Robert was sneaking up on him with a taser could have endangered Robert's life. She also didn't consider the possibility that screaming out to someone in while the place is swarming with enemies could be dangerous to Robert. So there you have it. Visi is extremely low IQ and vindictive, but she didn't want Robert to actually get hurt.

He had to try to play it off as her being a double agent.
>Kennyfags had to deal with people making fun of Kenny acting like a huge prick if you did one decision that bothered him during TWD for at least half a decade straight>Invisi newfags unironically think people won't be making fun of Invisigal trying to get Rob killed for one bad decision for years to come

>>726075743
>>726075601Okay sure. The refutation is that Visi wanted to fucking murder Robert because he didn't trust her in a situation where he was extremely justified in not trusting her. This tells us that if at any point Robert crosses Visi, no matter how justified he is, she will betray him in the most severe of manners. That's an incredible point to concede and I'm surprised you still like her despite knowing this.

>>726075303Obviously, she can't steal the suit without the real pulse. Though if Shroud okayed that plan he's dumb.
>>726073000On the one hand, you should have trusted her. On the other hand, she did almost get you killed. I mean, the game has a heightened sense of reality, so we can forgive things like that to some degree (like we did with Flambae). That said, I think the writers went too far with it.
>>726075940I ignore it because the entire following scenes make no sense if you didn't untie Visi.>Don't untie her>Robert acts like he did for the rest of the scenes>She even banters with him like she didn't just warn thumbstick>Same dick tuck dialogue. No, that scene seriously needs some new scenes to be made to follow up on that. You can tell they really had to make do with what they had.Similarly, I think the "she's working for us" was probably originally just for the villain route and it would have played out a bit differently for the hero route.
>>726075940theres so many plotholes in the story, but everyone doesn't care because they made robert a very likable protagonist and the 2 main love interests are also one of the best we've seen in years for gaming. idk why theres so much hate between the fans when the story goes out of its way to make sure BB and Visi both support your decision if you pick either

>>726076429>Playing the long con by marrying Robert and having a family with himShe's Shroud's most loyal soldier.
>>726076379They mentioned they did a non-linear development so certain scenes>she's working for usand probably the Thumbstick scene were written before earlier episodes locked down her character.Game really needs a Directors cut now that they have the cash to fit in all the things they had to cut and have a following.Just release it as a DLC or an update if in the latter case they want to farm good will.Otherwise just work on their next game I guess.

And ultimately this is the sign that this is the relationship with Courtney is going to be like. She doesn't THINK. She does weird contradicting action. She has asthma but regularly smokes. Even if you want to headcanon that it was Invisigal hoping that Robert would not get killed and just wounded badly to learn his lesson, it's still an extremely horrible moment for her in terms of optics.
>>726077169That looks pretty epic, but I will still never cut Coupe. I like her too much, and she's extremely useful.

>>726077367Yeah I'm suprised how much fun I had, especially after ruling the game out at TGA since the trailer didn't sell me. I'm still waiting for those official stats (should be Tuesday) but at this point I'm considering skipping the threads until they actually get posted, the samefagging and ritualposting is getting too annoying
>>726077327>treat someone with trust issues badly and let them know you dont trust them>she tells you to go fuck yourselfNah, woman would never do that.Whoa
>>726077164Well literally everything bad Invisigal does gets dropped after they defeat Shroud. No one reprimands her, no one questions her, no one gets mad at her (mainly in the hero ending, since she just runs away in the villain one, at least that one makes more sense). There's also the goofy ass choice of not giving a fuck and letting Sonar/Coupe back into the crew>>726077278I did both routes and I'm more mad about the Invisigal thing since that was half the reason I liked her character. "REDEMPTION". They just took a shit on it and called it a day. At least Mandyfags ate good in the beginning, the end and the date with the worst part of her character being the cutting someone choice
E;R streaming this was fucking hilarious. also give me more visi x robert art. i REALLY want them to get rid off critical role. also give me more robxvisi art
>>726077538Funny how you only started noticing the ritualposting when it was to make fun of Visi being an insane schizo bitch. You were pretty silent when it was Goslingposting. You'll have to forgive me if I don't take your bitching seriously. The threads will improve in quality when you leave.

Would you play a season 2 with a female dispatcher with a boy scout and an edgy boy as the love interests?
When I saw the "Critical Role" logo my heart sank and I tried to mentally prepare for hours of jokes about small dicks, male fragility and endless Whedon dialogue during fights.
>WHY IS THAT ASSHOLE STARIN AT CHOO
>>726077646Yeah I started to notice it about 2 weeks ago when BBfag became a laughing stock and I still haven't stopped. Gosling posters are annoying but at least they don't samefag for half the thread, even if they do eventually attract normalfags that just want to compare the game to their life and talk about it instead>threads will improveThreads will be jannied and sent to /vg/ before long, certainly before they can improve
you'd think flambae would give more of a shit that he's working for someone who sliced his finger off, even when i dodged the question at the taco place

>>726077632>give me more visi x robert artAsk and ye shall receive
>>726077612I think you're overstating it, Visifriend. Despite the fact that the final reveal makes no sense, the implication is still that Visi has been on your side for a long time and had only been pretending to work for Shroud. And as for the Thumbstick thing, yeah, that's probably worse, but she still expected you to be able to handle it.
>>726077256That skittle joke was truly unfunny and didn't need to be referenced against like 90 seconds after the joke already failed to launch. Robert even saying "nice dick" to another guy is incredibly weird and homosexual. I don't care if he's being sarcastic that's just something heterosexual men don't do. You wouldn't expect straight women in naked situations to look at one another and go "Beautiful pussy!" That's porn-brain dialogue. Mandy and her unfunny skittle dick bit is something she outright attributes to Courtney's influence which is one thing that made me dislike her right off the bat. Mandy is pure. She doesn't have to chase or emulate the world to be likable. One conversation with Courtney and Mandy is calling Robert "dad bod". Mandy is the type of girl who needs protection from potty mouth degenerates like Courtney who are almost 30 but think it's charming to open an introduction to a stranger with unprovoked unfunny sex jokes. If Courtney was a guy she'd be so cringe

He was also trying to kill Robert at the time and it was self-defence. He has nothing to be mad about, he chose to be a villain and he got what he deserved.
>>726077940>Robert even saying "nice dick" to another guy is incredibly weird and homosexual. I don't care if he's being sarcastic that's just something heterosexual men don't do.He was just pointing out that it's ridiculous the dude is naked. >>726075940>bad writing What in particular about it is bad writing? It’s her lashing out after effectively being told by what’s essentially her idol that he can’t see her as anything but a villain at that moment. It’s incredibly consistent with her character. Keep in mind Robert is incredibly fucked up at that point and is only armed with a taser and he’d still rather risk going it alone, it’s by far one of the most hurtful things you can do to her.
>>726078076> didn't expect to see a penis as quickly as I did, but god damn that thing was swanging in the fight. It's checklov's dick, it will pay off

>>726077930If I pretend most the last bit of episode 6, some of 7 and some 8 never happened, and just focus on the ending where she helps you, I can easily see it that way. But unfortunately I can't ignore those moments, because they really do some damage to Visi's character, and it's not even some waifu war shit, it's literally because the writing for them is just bad. All they needed to do is add in some explanations and make the route where you trust her have her equally trusting you back to tell you her plans and it'd improve it 100%. Just feels weird that they fumbled it
So when are we getting endless mode or at least randomizer/skip? Story is giga ass and unsalvageable.
>>726077781Mandy represents an impossible standard for women these days. She's the superior option and she comes equipped with zero problems. Precisely because she has no issues people think it's somehow wrong that there's a relationship with no struggle so they actively shoot for the >I can fix her!Type. Because they feel it Courtney is "earned" then the relationship will have zero strife and will survive until the end of time. But that's not how any of that works.
>>726078306I'm surprised BB wasn't hit with the bad writing stick in the last two episodes. Other than the scene where she gives Chase the amulet because why the fuck did it take her so long to think of that?

>>726078565>Mandy's assRobert is so lucky.
>>726078712kill yourself
>>726078141Oh yeah the pay off is really good. But here's my thing: Robert is a hero. He's been active and is in his early thirties. He's been around enough heroes and villains to understand that meta powers often result in wardrobe malfunctions, intentional or not. He would've seen his share of breasts and genitalia and butt cheeks on men and women conscious and unconscious. Dryly remarking on a cock suddenly exposed to him isn't surprising. Complimenting it dryly is just disgusting. It's another man's cock. I'd get if he was fighting a woman who was suddenly naked and he complimented her. That's male power fantasy. I don't want to call another guy's cock nice or have my cock remarked upon by a guy so why even put it in here? Gotta know the audience you're writing for, man. Can't suddenly throw in little gay lines just because it gets you off.But anyway I'll let this go because as you said the payoff for it was great and worth it. But otherwise yeah Robert never would've said nothing gay like nice cock to another man.
>>726078575@grok is this true
I don't think anyone's actually arguing Visi would be the better partner in a relationship. They like her story more and find her hot because she fits a popular archetype.Arguing that Mandy would be the better girlfriend is a lost cause because that's not what actually sways people to your side.
When did you realize that the no romance option makes the most sense and is the most beneficial to all three parties?
>>726078675I'd believe it if there were more deaths in season 1 and if the writing was more serious. Doing that would be a massive bait and switch and kill off all good will

>>726079248He was aura farming. Also he's doing that trick old people do when you're watching a screen and they sneak you a snack or something. Chase just had enough time to lose too.
>>726079638Punch-Up....

>>726079769kek
>>726079307Yes. It spelled out that Chase and Robert love each other. They have a long history and Chase is like the one tie Robert even has to heroism anymore since he was floundering after his recovery from the fight with Shroud
Playing BB now, it's so fucking obvious Visi's scenes are canon. Some of the common scenes don't fit well with BB at all. This is kinda sad and unfair to BB.
>>726078814How is it more beneficial for Mandy? You are one of the few powerless heroes around that she can relate to, and you're a compatible human to boot. She's obviously looking for a partner if she's so intent on ending things with phenomaman.
>>726079576I need demon pussy
>>726079105I don't think they'll do an update with endless dispatch. I think they'll do a roguelite spinoff with another dispatcher like Galen and throw in some weekly comics to make up for the lack of cutscenes and story and sell it all for $20 at most.
>>726079782Here's how I'd like them to do it, anon. I don't think it's too unrealistic. As for V.A., no. No new V.A. You can't sacrifice the budget for it. Like I said in this pic, just add an easier to read dialogue system and write the interactions.
>>726079782Basically, except of course you don't record hundred hours of banter. Just a lot that will randomly play, of course after a bit you'll start hearing the same lines repeat.
>>726079546>>726079606We got the childhood flashback and the scene of Robert breaking down in the hospital out of it. That's enough for me. Honestly, it was the only time the game had me tearing up.

>>726079546>>726079606I don't think he needed to die, but he should've stayed bedridden/comatose until S2 and then they could decide what to do with him then. >>726079125I like that he wasn't deas and got his hero moment. Mandy was a true baller for thinking outside of the box. I like to believe that it helped Robert make the decision to drop both of the drives into Shroud's hand. And also>Letting the former youngest member of the Brave Brigade do a press interviewBrother was not ready for the spotlight. That's why it felt really natural when he asked the camera to highlight the rest of the team. Like, Chase is cool but doesn't have the diplomacy needed to really convey a strong message. He's a doer but a talker. His words have impact because they back up a threat not because he's particularly eloquent. But hey at least when he talks you know what you're getting is real.He cuts to the chase. And when does he likes to keep it short. Chase is the man. He reminds me strongly of a guy I run with and that the he shared a name with the voice actor just puts a smile on my face.

>>726080889Coupe. Way too many missions depend on maneuver/speed/whatever it's called.
>>726080889Malevola was weirdly useful just because she comes pre-baked with at least 2 in everything. Helps in a lot of the missions that randomly have a 2 in brains for some reason.
I got it. Shroud's final scene is actually supposed to play like this:>you cut Visi>she joins back, problem is left the thing at SDN>you and Royd catch her then you don't release her>she just disappears until the final scene >Shroud does his revealBut they ran out of money and just mashed it all together creating this Frankstein ending.
>>726080854>He says Shroud allows him to "eat whomever he wants" which Malevola immediately calls him out for in saying that Sonar doesn't do that and has never done it because it messes with his stomachAnon, that's not all that relevant to me.He still helped red ring kill people left and right, both directly and just by distracting and being part of the chaos.
>>726081086That's what Invisigirl is for.
>>726080889Golem. His utility pretty much ensured it was going to be him or Prismn or Invisigirl (but how many times were you gonna make Courtney do things solo and expect victory? Seriously.) Making copies of yourself/other heroes was always going to inflate their "character power usage" far more than weird conditions like Malevola who heals a team member of she dispatched with them, Punch Up who can't be downed and Phenomaman who also has a stupid ability.
>Grok is this real
>>726081029I sent that bitch to jail in the end.>ohhhhhhhh boo hooo i'm so butthurt that you fired me that I'm gonna team up with shroud and help level 12 city blocks :(((
>Charlie actually read for both Sonar and GolemThat would have probably worked too since Golem is a weed smoker.
>>726081124She was too busy being pregnant with my child.
>>726079782It wouldn't be hard since the game already does it. It'd be a rogulelite where you have a team and you have to maintain your subscribers. Every five shifts you would have to make some personnel changes. If you lose too many subscribers, then BB forces you to cut someone. Do well, and you get the option to get a new hero. Basically fantasy sports with heroes.
>>726080978Robert Robertson the IVth would be hard to do right, in my opinion. Rob is already the 'modern' mecha man, with modern sensibilities. You'd have to stray pretty far to make him unique. Of course, if he had powers, and perhaps turned to a life of crime?I still prefer a new cast for a theoretical season 2.
Sonar never being in the right form for anything I needed him for made me use him only as backup to other heroes.Which is a shame, if his change was controlled (but could only be done once per shift) that would have been so much more useful and balanced.
>>726081212huh. I don't think I could see him as golem. Just not gravely enough

>>726081029Bad choice, she's great.
>>726081243That would be a nice side-project for AdHoc, but it probably wouldn't be as popular. The romance options and the story are what people really liked in Dispatch, even if episode 8 fell flat.>>726081310The thing with keeping Sonar is that you're supposed to actually know what you need ahead of time. If you keep him and you know what Dispatches are coming up, he's a monster and a powerhouse. If you just go in blind like most people do, he's a liability more than half the time.
>>726080978 if that happens, I'm dropping it. the whole point is to romance visi or bb and if I don't get more of that in season 2, it's dropped.

>>726073000>>726072895I seriously don't understand what the masterplan was.He wants the astropulse, why did he get her to fake steal it, just to give it to me, so he could fight me, to give it to him?It makes absolutely zero sense.
>>726080090>nothing to imply he was this stupid>cries about mechadad never making him a suit>cries about broken promises>if you hand him both pulses is so insanely chatgpt broken that instead of taking them back to a lab just guesses one at random because he needs it now now nowShroud's whole character is that he thinks he's purely rational and logic driven, but what guides the questions he asks his onboard AI are actually ego driven. I think it's pretty likely that he just wanted to tear the mecha man suit apart, which in addition to knocking it near completely out of commission symbolizes ripping apart the idea of mecha man.
>pay attention to meeeeee
>>726081113I accept everything you're saying and I lay it at the feet of Coupe whom I feel is mentally sound enough to understand that her ranking was superceded in the final stretch. Her going to Shroud feels competently spiteful whereas Sonar just has this weird "little brother needs his path corrected" energy. Maybe it's just my own personal bias but it doesn't make you any less right.Just feels emotionally and theatrically fulfilling for Sonar to have the bad beaten out of him by the good guys and then he's welcomed back with open arms. I love redemption and forgiveness. And besides all Sonar really did was just fight the Z-team himself over and over during the Dispatch missions. He aided and abetted Shroud through joining sure but his only real sin is believing his vengeance is justified when it isn't. Like how can losing a job be your villain motivation? Pfft. Visi was literally the only one who could defeat Shroud because she has such severe BPD that she's unpredictable.Just try and tell me that's not kino writing. I won't fucking believe you.
>>726081662Sadly, I don't think we see much of an improvement for Phenomaman's life through the story. Sure, Robert helps him understand he needs to find new meaning in his life, and he gets into MTG, but he still seems a bit hung up on BB. If you believe her and untie her, she comes back to your side, but Shroud still thinks he's working for him again.

I don't think Adhoc expected this game to blow up as much as it did because there's really not much you can do with these characters for a season 2. Anyone else feel like they missed every opportunity to show how ridiculous a corporate superhero business with subscriptions are? They never explained any of it. Does subscribing to SDN mean you can call on superheroes any time you want, for any purpose? Are subscribers helped before others in lethal peril? Are non-subscribers helped at all? If they are, isn't that just the money of the subscribers being used on non-subscribers?Why doesn't the game prioritise subscriber calls by either offering rewards for doing them first, or punishment for neglecting subscribers? The fact that SDN is a corporation is hammered home several times, but they don't show any of the negatives inherent in a system like this. Imagine if the police was privatised and you needed a subscription for them to come during a break-in. It's ridiculous, but never explored.

>>726082071Yeah for normal people it makes no sense, it's just a dog. But for the people who wrote it and the main audience, they would genuinely sacrifice human lives for dogs and cats. They're really that fucked up.
>>726082443subscribber
Do we know how old Robert is? I figured he was like 28.
>>726079990>Somehow no one on the News Team noticed the giant Mechaman suit>Robert potentially murdered Shroud on the SDN>They're aware a Dispatcher killed Shroud, but don't connect to the Mechaman suit.Wow, they're dumb.
>>726082610I don't think his canon age was revealed yet. At one point we thought we knew, but the devs were quick to say it's not canon.

>>726082443Did you not see the dispatch to get a coffee?
>>726082443The fact that the top 5 SDN superheroes have scores of like 100k+ means LA literally has eaten shit
You're Invisigal. At which point, if ever, do you tell Robert the truth? Be honest.
I don't see any way s2 won't force certain canon choices. The scope would balloon otherwise.
I bet Mandy gives Robert the amulet during sex to increase his recovery time.
>>726082721I wouldnt tell him I would just rape him
>>726079395>Robert isn't Flambae's type only because he isn't burn proof.Wow.

>>726082721After I get the pulse I'd make a beeline for him and spill it all.
>>726082443The police are still a thing, and I imagine they help in normal stuff, but like you said, SDN only helps subscribers. You can call SDN for anything you want, as proven by multiple stupid calls which explicitely say they're reocurring dumb shit (like the cleanup lady, or the coffee run at the end)The priority the calls take is entirely dependant on the dispatcher, and obviously, every dispatcher is judged through reports on their shifts (robert is shown filling one in the cutscene before a shift, very comfy)I think non-subscribers are only helped by virtue of helping subscribers. For example, if a building is about to collapse where a subscriber lives, you go stop it, and by doing so, you help non-subscribers. I'm not too clear on the final shift, but I assume a city-wide emergency overrides everything. It's explored well enough to not bring the setting down, I think.

>>726082721Probably pull him aside and tell him after he admitted to being mecha man in front of the entire team.

>>726081719>Shroud's whole character is that he thinks he's purely rational and logic driven, but what guides the questions he asks his onboard AI are actually ego driven. I think it's pretty likely that he just wanted to tear the mecha man suit apart, which in addition to knocking it near completely out of commission symbolizes ripping apart the idea of mecha man.Oh, so he's an idiot? Despite making his own mech suit AND he's the one who created the Astral Pulse and didn't do so again after 15 years. Yeah, what a satisfying and competent villain to take down.

>>726082781robert should've dropped it in the locker or on her way to the hospital
>>726081717By no means a perfect explanation without plotholes of its own, but could be something like:>Shroud uses SDN resources to locate pulse>he and Vis make a plan for her to get him the pulse and possibly fake her death>Vis pockets it, and Shroud anticipates that she would take it for herself to have leverage over him>neither of them anticipate Chase to save her, and he nearly dies>Vis is shocked and has a change of heart, goes off-grid>Shroud is angry at her, but believes he can get Robert to distrust her by convincing him she took the pulse for herself>meanwhile, looking for redemption, she intends to sneak into SDN to swap the real pulse with the fake one and give the fake to ShroudI can't really explain anything in episode 8 though. I think he was just bullshitting.

>>726082721I think before the warehouse, if I still plan on going solo. Get the pulse or die trying. And if you return, with or without getting rescued, then you get suspended, give him time to process things. Not right before everything goes to shit.
>>726082964>tfw no super powered gfIt’s over for us
>>726082736I think they could do it by reigning in villain Visi relatively quickly. It's harder to explain her suddenly switching sides AGAIN after shroud is dead and she took a bullet for you. Even in the villain ending, she doesn't come off THAT bad. She gives Robert the pulse and gives him a wink, that feels pretty amiable to me. As for the separate romances, they could just do what they did in Season 1. The same scenes but add in an extra smooch or hug here and there.
>>726082781It's just a formality at this point

>>726082940Please never post this picture again
>>726082903Yep. In just one episode of Wolf Among Us, we have a more complicated world, more defined characters (even the secondary ones), a better mystery, and dialog that doesn't sound like an edgy teenager living in Los Angeles wrote the script.
>>726082721She should have told him before trying to get the Pulse. It would have set up the mission, she could have talked with Blazer about the plan earlier, and they could have successfully gotten it back together the right way.Her selfishness and unwillingness to tell the truth about what she did is the reason why she went to go for it by herself and was the reason why she sprung the plan on Robert and Blazer both at the same time.
>>726083014Be the change you want to see
>>726082921Wait I thought he used Robert's dad's help in developing the tech. If Shroud himself did it then he could simply replicate what he did before.

I'm curious what the reaction to this game is coming from the rest of the entertainment industry. This thing actually felt like a fusion between a TV show and a game, and the writing clearly puts most of the marvel productions to shame while still being in similar territory.
>>726082736They could elevate the entire Z team to background characters by having Rob get moved to another department office while the current one gets repaired and have the Z team sent to a different office
>>726083176>If Shroud himself did it then he could simply replicate what he did before.Yeah. Exactly. Shroud could make ANOTHER Astral Pulse, but he doesn't. Because reasons.

>>726082828She explains that it's the amulet that's the source of her powers, so you'd assume if you wear it you'd get the powers.
>>726080978Visi would probably neck herself honestly
>>726083194i think so if robert told everyone hes mecha man before
>>726082940I know you meant after everyone leaves but the thought of Courtney saying it while everyone's there, in front of Chase and with Radio still playing in the background is pretty funny
>>726082808So Robert spent years working as a hero for free, when SDN could have hired him at any moment. He had zero misgivings about going corporate and clearly only didn't do it because he wasn't offered. And they never offered a job (???) despite him being one of L.A.'s best heroes while he had the suit.Instead they wait for him to lose the suit so that they can spent a shit ton of money to repair it, while also paying him for dispatch work?If Robert didn't like SDN, or didn't like the idea of being corporate, that would have made sense. They would have taken advantage of his bad situation to hire him in the condition he work for them after the suit is done. But since he's totally fine with SDN, why the actual fuck didn't they just sign him a decade ago?
>>726082670OCD autists
>>726083198>You can have a PhD and be a retard who barely understands cause and effect outside of your narrow field, You misunderstand the criticism. It's not satisfying for your protagonist to beat a villain who is a complete dumbass, especially when his superpower is supposed to predicting everything >The only weird thing that I don't get either is why he didn't just make another one, I've got nothing on that, maybe it was hard or something. Then the writers should have focused on that. That Robbie Robertson made an important part as a "gear head" that a scientist couldn't figure out. But they didn't.
>>726083172Dispatch doesn't have any mystery
>>726083259Writing only puts Marvel to shame because the game is shameless about heterosexual romance which is something Disney and Marvel has no interest in highlighting or showcasing anymore. Their stars have no chemistry and no sexuality. No one is hot. There was a real clamor where men were listing for Scarlett Johansson and Elizabeth Olson and women were swooning for the Chris's of Marvel but nowadays? They've lost the plot. And the plot is man and woman coming together and loving one another. Through anything and everything.

>>726083397Robert wouldn't be able to help non-subscribers if he worked for SDN, he wouldn't even be able to choose his missions most of the time (heroes butting into missions isn't the standard)He doesn't mind working for SDN because the offer's too good to reject, and it's a way to actually do some good while waiting for his suit to get fixed.
why havent the criminal side created their own dispatch? that's handsome and gets all the hot vilian women and makes a gorillion money. so me.

>>726083586bro dont leak the Dispatch 2 plot

>>726083619>Who created the Astral PulseIt gets brought up once that it probably was Shroud and confirmed in the comics, the plot doesn't change with this information, it's just a setup to show Shroud wasn't always evil and to the comic showcasing how he was betrayed>Why didn't Shroud just capture Robert? That's a plothole not a mystery
>No new thread
>>726083619>Why didn't Shroud just capture Robert?He tried.
>>726083668Yeah it does. Instead of crimes in progress popping up, just have crime opportunities. Then you select the villains in your roster most likely to succeed and send them. Deal with heroes trying to stop you and other shit. You get income for every successful mission, and this goes towards hiring stronger goons and getting better tech.
>>726083846>>726032202
>>726083846not over yet, it's up
>>726083447Ah well then I agree that they didn't write the best ending, especially with the dog taking a pivotal role, I just think Shroud's character wasn't particularly unrealistic in his flaws. I think if they deleted the scene where he pretends invisigal is still his double agent and had a better rooftop trade (something that would actually be worth the lives of literally everyone in LA) it would read better as him being bested by the amulet gamble and making a quick recovery due to the AI in his head. That way the final deception gamble would seem fairer, because Shroud has had only a couple minutes to run the numbers and it didn't work out in his favor. Instead they make it clear that he somehow predicted a trade like this for some reason, which I think is far more irrational than wanting to tear apart the mecha man suit.
>>726083902nah that's some culture war shit, I put up a BB OP thread
>>726083763The answer to why didn't capture Robert is also stated in the first episode.>He was just an obstacle. Shroud just wanted the Pulse and Mecha Man gone - he got bothWhile he didn't actually get the Pulse, it was clear Robert didn't have it. Him sending Visi to work at SDN was likely so that he would know if heroes were sent on a mission involving the pulse, since it was known to explode. Robert being alive is irrelevant to Shroud's plans, and in the end only his petty hatred for his dad is the reason why he has ANY beef with Robert Robertson III
>>726083763>It gets brought up once that it probably was Shroud and confirmed in the comics,Stories in one media do not excuse it being explained in another. >the plot doesn't change with this informationYeah, another aborted storyline in Dispatch that could have been interesting regarding how Robert saw his father. >That's a plothole not a mysteryThere were literally people theorizing over this. It's such a massive plot hole that people thought it was an intentional mystery. Like a JJ Abrams script.

>>726083881No, he didn't. Toxic could have broken out of being tied to a chair and tortured Robert until he told him where the Astral Pulse was. The Mecha Man suit was literally int a parking garage. It's hilariously pathetic.
>>726083619I think Robert Senior (2nd/Astral) created the pulse alongside Shroud, using the Astral Core (which is a mystical/alien piece of tech that can't be recreated or found again), so that's why Shroud is so intent on getting it back, rather than making a new one.>Why didn't shroud capture RobertWhen? He kidnaps Robert after he thinks he gets the pulse because it's the only thing he's interested. No point in capturing Robert otherwise. He wasn't even managing to reduce the Red Ring through SDN, if the final battle is anything to go by.

>>726083948>I just think Shroud's character wasn't particularly unrealistic in his flaws.Regardless if you think his powers only work on "looking at people" regarding probability, >I think if they deleted the scene where he pretends invisigal is still his double agent and had a better rooftop trade (something that would actually be worth the lives of literally everyone in LA) it would read better as him being bested by the amulet gamble and making a quick recovery due to the AI in his head. Yeah, but they didn't. Invisigirl being a double agent is literally a part of the plot making a LOT of things in question like why did he plan on killing her at the docks - unless he also planned on Chase saving her, which then only further makes his probability powers even more ill defined. He's literally so stupid that if you give him both vials of the Astral Pulse, he'll accept BOTH of them, then give back the dog, and then go "WHAT?! Why are you giving me two of these?!"
>>726084198We know, Mandy.
>>726084000I assumed that anon meant at the start. Instead of having Toxic lure him to a trap why not just have Toxic become toxic, break out of the chair and capture him? Or just have the entire red ring ambush him. Someone brought this up ITT or the one before>>726084004There were people theorizing who Shroud is including thinking it's Blonde Blazer or that she's related to him. >>726084067>I think Robert Senior (2nd/Astral) created the pulse alongside Shroud, As defined by Royd in episode 3, Robbie didn't create the Astral Pulse. >which is a mystical/alien piece of tech that can't be recreated or found again)Source from the games? >When? How about when Toxic is tied to a chair pretending to be a regular person and admits who his father is. It's even more confusing if Shroud knew that Robert would capture Toxic.
>>726084321>What you said doesn't refute it, it is a plotholeSo, the answer is "shit writing." That's not better.
