Spoilers about the ending to Stray ahead:So I just spent 8 hours talking to everyone, finding every memory, forming a bond with B12, learning about the lore, etcetera, only to just... go outside? There wasn't even a cutscene that showed the robots escaping, or even anything about what happened to the humans. There was even an autosave right after the cat pressed the open roof button, so I was expecting another 3 hours of locating humans, talking to all the robots, and then leading the robots to the outside. What a fucking joke of an end. I'm guessing Stray 2 is in development, which will cover all of what I said. What did you guys think of Stray and its ending?
I think the only thing I gave a shit about was reuniting my cat with its pack and it never happened. Fuck the robots, fuck the humans, fuck the setting. The cats were all that mattered. Worthless game
>>726083157That's right. I completely forgot about the cats because they were only in the game for like 10 minutes, but they were the main cat's friends from the outside. Shittiest ending ever.
It's implied all of the humans are dead, and why would the robots leave? especially now that all of the zurks are dead and their home is safe?
>>726083758>It's implied all of the humans are deadSo? The player wants to find that out for themselves>and why would the robots leave? Especially now that all of the zurks are dead and their home is safe?Because all the zurks are dead and tons of robots keep idolozing the outside like its a god. They also revear humans as demi-gods
>>726084083>So? The player wants to find that out for themselvesYou personally or the cat? why would the cat care?>like five of them "the outsiders" do. the rest shun the outsiders. either way maybe they do go exploring now that it's safe. what does it matter?
>>726081325Weren't you sad when your robot friend dieded?
>>726084514Yes, and the ending didn't even address B12. Surely the robots, now that they have access to the outside, could have fixed B12. Hell, even without access to the outside, there were several robots that were able to repair a tranceiver and something else(I forget)
>>726084514>>726084643when the cat is leaving you see the screens surrounding the stairs flicker like they did at the start of the game before he entered the robot body, implying he is alive and inside the city computer now.
>>726084787Meh. That was an Inception movie ending nonsense with the spinning top that wobbled a little bit. The player spent 5+ hours with B12(I spent 9 hours since I really explored everything and talked to every robot).
Didn’t really think much of it. Thought it was a cozy little walking simulator. Brilliant atmosphere, visuals, and environment. Weird how they managed to make an underground city full of robots feel so alive
>>726084949no it wasn't it's a direct call back.you might be retarded OP if the meme cat game is beyond your comprehension.
>>726084998yes saaar we do the walkful ! *punches you hard*
>>726084083>So? The player wants to find that out for themselvesNot everything needs to be spelled out for you dude. Needing everything told to you is the yellow paint of storytelling
>>726085148The whole game revolves around trying to find out what happened to the humans and why there's a bunch of robots living in underground cities, you dufus. Of course the player wants to know what happened. Good lord
>>726085280Nah, I just wanted to reunite the cat with his bros.
>>726084643I don't know, I enjoyed this game, the goal was to get outside, and you got outside, congrats
>>726085280The game is about getting out of the underground while following a friendly bot in a city full of robots and deadly pests. What happened to the humans is secondary at best.
>>726081325Stray is entertaining enough. Charming environment, nice robots, a cute cat. I think you got too invested in the background lore and made up a different plot in your mind OP. The game is about the cat getting out and helping the little robot. There's no reason for the bots to go out, especially after the zurks die out. Humans are just background lore and at no point were implied to be alive or that finding them was a goal.
