I was thinking about getting into Ultima Online Outlands again, but I'm on Linux now and playing it is a pain in the ass.The game isn't that great, but the thrill of doing a dungeon only to see a bunch of red names slaughtering everyone make it worth it sometimes.Would not recommend the game to anyone though, so I have no idea why I am posting this.

I am going to plant my house over in that Autumn themed area, in the plot that backs up to a pond. I had been planning on putting it in the sort of magical, shadowy looking part of the woods by the dock, but decided it looked too gloomy. I have been trying to decide which character I want to "own" it, and I think I'm going with my Warlock. There are supposed to be a lot of cool fel themed items in Remix, so I want to use those, and set up a little tinker shop inside as well. I had a layout that worked pretty well on beta, two floors with four rooms and a stairwell. From what I can tell you keep upgrading your house to unlock more housing "budget" to allow for more and more rooms, but I don't really understand the mechanism of leveling up the house, I only did it once on beta.

Just gotta ignore the shitty rng upgrade system (no, the pity system doesn't help) and eternal grind for crons (no, the free thousands of crons they throw at you still don't make a difference). It's real only redeeming quality is it still looks like one of the prettiest among mmos out there and the combat, the latter of which kinda gets old the moment you realize the mobs in this game are dumb as bricks and are only difficult because of zone gimmicks and their stats. PvP used to be fine until it wasn't.To go off on a tangent, it makes me appreciate Tera's BAMs, which were tough fuckers, but were not impossible to solo if you had the skill, and were quite rewarding if you can reliably take them down.It's a real shame the pserver scene is actually dead (i'm talking <100 pop servers) cause i'd like to experience that game again.
