Never.
>>
>>726087635
Nope, I finished your game just the other day actually.
Is any of the DLC worth the price? I'm worried it's just bigger numbers and grinding without much else going on.
>>
>>726087635
Fuck you Jack.
>>
>>726087635
I played Jack's game.
>>
I don't know who this is, but I respect his strength.
>>
>>726087635
Jack-sama, I kneel...
>>
>>726087635
I really liked your game Jack but the spammy gameplay gets old eventually
>>
>>726088082
the dlc is definitely mostly just bigger numbers and grinding but it also adds a lot of really awesome new mechanics/bosses and also does stuff like give older bosses new moves

if you love the gameplay, its more and with them fixing some of the flaws of the base game like not getting the fucking garland armor
>>
>>726087635
Best FF spinoff
>>
>>726087635
I want to replay this game again but the random drop is a turn off.
>>
>>726088082
>>726089458
dlc story stuff is good even if its very sparsely spread out, especially in the last one
>>
>>726089497
just set either your auto ignore or auto dismantle filter to remove 1 star items and mash the optimal gear button until sometime in the dlc when you start getting your ass kicked and the warrior of light armor isn't good enough
>>
Is this game a flop? The combat is refreshing and fast pace

I got filtered by the constant menu surfing and shuffling
Then I picked up Nioh 2 and then got filtered there too

Which is weird because I vaguely remember liking Nioh 1 when it came out
>>
>>726087635
Bullshit
>>
>>726089837
Almost certainly. Nobody really talks about it, and the PC version was Epic-exclusive for the longest time.
>>
>>726087635
Jack Won
>>
>>726088082
Each DLC gives new jobs and weapons, but the first two are light on wholy new content or story, they're just new difficulties with higher level and equipment caps - up to you if that counts as grinding, there's also ways to skip past most of it. The last DLC has the conclusion of the story
>>
>>726087635
I'm sorry but I still haven't gotten around to playing your game even though I bought it when it came out.
>>
>>726089495
World of Final Fantasy
>Tactics
>Crystal Chronicles
>CHAOS

FF has good non mainline shit
>>
>>726090096
I said what I said.
>>
>>726089837
Sadly yes. A lot of people dismissed it after the CHAOS trailer, PC version was stuck on Epic for a year before it came to steam, performance was terrible at launch to the point many people had to play by making everyone bald with SpecialK (and it's still not perfect, though miles better) and lastgen consoles couldn't handle it. Near DLC3 interview when asked about a sequel Nomura said to get the achievments for the game to show that the small community is at least dedicated - pretty much confirming that the only way this gets a sequel is a decade later if it becomes a cult classic
>>
Maximilian said this game sucks. Stop glazing this game

I'll never forget your game Jack. I thought it was gonna be cringe shit, but by the end the fist bump actually made me smile. DLC colliding with dissidia lore made me excited for something we'll never get too.
>>726089873
For the first playthrough you can safely just equip higher numbers through the "optimize" option I'm pretty sure. Give it another try, you bought it after all. and it's super fun I promise.
>>
>>726087635
Bullshit

>Near DLC3 interview when asked about a sequel Nomura said to get the achievements for the game
link to the interview? also not surprised to hear it didn't do well, still makes me sad since it was so good

I am currently on a new save doing a dragoon/gambler build and see where it takes me.
>>
>>726087635
Which class should I main if I really liked the fist in Nioh 2?
>>
>>726090485
https://noisypixel.net/tetsuya-nomura-stranger-of-paradise-final-fantasy-origin-sequel-possible/
My bad, it was in a youtube livestream and it was about DLC completion not achievments (though how else would they track that)
>>
>>726087635
I started SoP yesterday right after finishing FF16. I'm actually having a lot more fun with it than FF16.
>>
>>726090370
well its not just the equipment but the 20 classes, 200 skill nodes and 20000 skill points that got me dizzled. I wanted to try out all the classes so that ran me down too. I do like the idea of the game especially the setting so maybe I'll just keep it simple and stick with one class/weapon until I get comfortable.
>>
>>726091406
they designed the starting classes to be something you could still main if you really want instead of something replacable so you can definitely just run swordsman/mage or something until the games 500 mechanics and 2000 rpg numbers make sense. it might be a little boring though, the unlocks have more outwardly flashy stuff
>>
>>726087635
lightbringer spam until everything is dead. also gamble into nuke twice in a row and kill every boss. Peak gamepray. also gun sage meteor spam is dumb.
>>

Who's the chameleon monster on the right?
>>
you would think final fantasy dork souls would be a slam dunk but no.
>>
>>726087635
This is unironically one of the best games I've played in a while. It's campy, it's jank, and it's fun.
>>
>>726093154
That is Oxyotl basically lizard doom guy
https://warhammerfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Oxyotl
>>
>>726093510
There's no jank in this game
>>
>>726087635
I remember him better than Cloud or whoever it is that's the latest final fantasy protag.
>>
>>726092598
every game has a meta, what matters is how enjoyable the meta is and if you can do lots of other stuff that's enjoyable and still win, which SOP luckily has

being able to break it with shit like unlimited iframes is a feature
>>
>>726087635
I'd never forget Jack. I respect his strength.
>>
>>726093385
a generational fumble IMO
>>
>>726091406
you can just try everything out by playing naturally
>>
>literally every job is a blast to play
How did they do it?
>>
>>726095413
the game is genuine soul, that's how.
>>
>>726094745
not enough budget and they backed down on the CHAOS marketing
>>
>>726093684
this is just lizardman sly marbo aint it
>>
>>726087635
Not at all. The entirety of the story was terrific up until postgame turned it into a grinding slog. Still, loved it and what the DLCs added. I wouldn't mind getting another game like this in one of the other FFs someday either.
>>
Max was right
>>
>>726088082
The numbers get bigger, the grind is significantly exaggerated but is reliant on you actually understanding how to play the game, it adds a lot to play around with by hugely expanding all the job/build options and boss movesets while the new weapons, jobs and bosses are fantastic fun, it just is relatively light in terms of story and new scenery though what is there is excellent. If you liked the game and didn't feel like you got to explore the mechanics properly then it is absolutely worth it.
>>
>>726090829
Knuckles are a weapon, so any job that uses them of which there are many.
>>726095413
By making jobs heavily customizable and varied yet a small part of your actual toolset that instead reflects upon the very strong baseline of each weapon and the core mechanics. It lets them come in tons of different shapes and sizes, be swapped around whenever you want for a fresh experience while still carrying over what you know and like, and make how you apply what they offer define the job, all on top of creating a shitton of synergy potential by letting you have two jobs and cancel moves between them.

So what sorta game is it? Seems like a JRPG dungeon crawler with lots of class options.
>>
>>726087635
I genuinely believe that Jack's game is the greatest game ever made.
I could never forget.
When I'm old and grey, brain addled by dementia, I'll be incoherently chaosposting to my grandkids.

Nioh but Final Fantasy and with cringekino writing.
