Anons, I have a serious question: I have a PS4Pro with lots of game (one digital and 17 physical ones), and I'm afraid that once Sony stops supporting this console, I might won't be able to play them anymore. From this generation of consoles onwards, they rely too much on online services and servers, so I was thinking that something similar could happen like with The Crew 1 and people will no longer be able to play them. I don't know if a lot of these physical games need to download the rest of the game from Sony servers to be able to function.
Same can be applied to the Xbox One consoles.
What do you think?

Most of the 8th gen runs off disc with no internet just fine. It's the 9th gen that's a total shit show.

Yeah, that's why I was so afraid.
I have one or two games that will be troublesome to play without servers (or even unplayable), so I'll try to sell them right away.

i've played my Xbox One with no internet a few times. you just have to decline a pop up that asks if you want to test your connection.

I bought Oblivion Remastered and it had a dlc voucher that expires in 2035.

But seriously by the time in 50/60 ill probably start selling my games. Wouldnt want to die and have them go to auction.
