Instead of making distractingly ugly women to appeal to feminists, or ridiculous bimbos to appeal to coomers, why don’t devs just design… normal women, with realistic body types? Including all the features and flaws that real women have. That would probably satisfy everyone

This industry is dying to begin with because it caters to 3DPD retard.

>normal women, with realistic body types?
One, normal women are not ugly enough to represent the ham beasts on social media. Two is that women in action vidya, who do action stuff, look more buff and toned which also angers the ham beasts on social media. So devs can just lie to us and say fat bitches doing action stuff is perfectly plausible.
>>
>>726094117
I don't get it. Are these things only women notice in other women? Other than "kissing thighs" which would be hot as fuck in a coomer game.

>we have the capability to make pixels perfect, let's go ahead and make them imperfect.
truly genius OP
also, nothing wrong with small tits as your video suggest

They SHOULD look more buff and toned, but almost all of them are just skinny models with big tits, a la Lara Croft
Gamers are angered by buff chicks who actually have the muscles to perform their in-game feats, as I’m sure you’re aware

Funny, you’re basically describing the development of Hellenic sculpture. Depicting flaws is actually more difficult than perfection.

she looks like a woman on steroids, is that really the standard to set? how will that make normal women feel if that's what people think they should look like?

i didn't have any issue with faith in mirror's edge being slim and doing parkour and beating up paramilitary forces. the people who complained about faith not being "pretty" enough and needing bigger tits were dumb too though.

does art need to be realistic in the first place?
>>
>>726094690
video games are not art, nor should they be. make them fun to play and not ugly to look at. simple as
>>
>>726095053
See, thats just what I’m talking about. Faith would have to be much more muscular to be an effective hand to hand combatant. Especially against men, given the massive strength difference.

>Gamers are angered by buff chicks
Because mainstream gamers are very much stuck in their "eww girls" phase. Asmongold and his audience are a prime example. To them, a perfectly fine action combat game with a female protagonist would go from a 7 to a 10 if it had a giant dude swinging a massive sword instead.

>does art need to be realistic in the first place?
If it wants to sell us a believable world, yes. The problem with vidya is that it's a visual medium trying to trick our perception of the fiction. When you're standing next to a muscly big dude in real life you can immediately tell but in vidya it looks average, maybe even small depending on what we're used to. But to get to a woman to a point where she looks big and buff on a glance, like a man can, she needs gear. Especially if she's wearing a full body outfit. Now double that for vidya.

you FUCKING know why

yes but it's a video game, not real life

so no more magic in games?

huge guys on steroids generally look unappealing to me as well so this isn't just an "eww girls" thing. in fact, most of my favorite games already leaned toward more realistic body types and this is pushing things to more unrealistic types acting like these steroid-enhanced buff chicks are normal.

It's something some women are willing to get surgery over, but most guys notice hip dips. I didn't like it as a teen but now I see the error of my ways.

>so no more magic in games?
If it was up to me, yes. But i think it's more like degrees of believability. A skinny fat 100lbs girl kungfu kicking men twice her size is just too much to ask, but a girl with SOME visible muscle is easier to accept that she can beat a man, while a girl with very visible muscle can beat a man no problem.

To me Link is 5x5 pixels on the screen of my Gameboy in 1994. Give me a different example.

well i'm glad it's not up to you

you're avoiding that you're trying to make women on steroids seem normal and like anyone who thinks it's odd is just immature. and that plenty of people think guys on steroids look equally odd.

The autismo is completely fucking out of touch too. Who knows where they even came from.

>you're avoiding that you're trying to make women on steroids seem normal
No. What i'm saying is that our perception of a physically strong character is an idealized one. We are used to seeing big muscles and "just know" that is strong so any character who looks smaller is perceived as weak. Pic related is the vanilla basic male in Skyrim. Every single man in that game has that physique. To make a female character appear as equally strong you'd have to pump her full of every single type of juice known to man and have her do nothing but build muscle for 10 years. And i'm not saying that she would be the same size as him but to have the same proportions. Abby, especially with clothes on, doesn't look particularly strong. The Skyrim male looks way stronger. A female character that looks like she could beat pic related in hand to hand combat would be outrageously large and completely throw off most people. She would come off as fetish fuel.
