What would happen if these things showed up in classic sci-fi gaming franchises like Halo, Star Wars or Warhammer 40k?
I thought the thumbnail was a hairy pussy and asshole lol
>>726101845What video game are they from?
>and so human sentience went extinct in the galaxy>except these humans were still sentient>and these ones too>also these ones>also there were humans that weren't changed at all and kept on living loldumb book
>>726101845theyd lose
>>726101845Raped to death by Necrons.
>>726101845>HaloHumanity doesn't stand a chance, even the forerunners would likely get fucked by them.>Star WarsHumanity and all the other sentient species are fucked if the Death Star is the best they can do.>40kI don't know, they probably have some rage-induced immunity to alien gene editing or some shit.
>>726101845>warhammer 40kthey get raped by demons>halo they rape everything and then the flood makes them sweat for a single second>star warswhoever is the new mary sue is solos the entire empire, evil cant win in disney stories.
>>726101845>haloNo idea, never played it>star warsA great threat ravaging the galaxy until it's eventually defeated by a power of friendship and love>40kWill have to compete with near endless amount of eldritch monsters. But ultimately they will be stuck in a time limbo like everyone else. No matter how much they conquer it will never be enough for a victory. No matter how hard they lose it will never be enough to wipe them out.
The Last and First Men for mulatto perms.
>>726104089What's to stop them from getting infected by the Flood?
>>726101845All of them are fucked.Future humans from that book are implied to have been a space faring race for a million year yet still got raped by these things.
>>726102410>except these humans were still sentientThe point is they were genetically gigafucked, and only regained sapience after thousands of years of unimpeded evolution without Qu regulation. The tall giraffe fuckers were kept sapient as a punishment, since their fragile bodies meant they couldn't apply their intelligence, until eventually that intelligence was bred out. Some post-human species just died off outright.>also there were humans that weren't changed at all and kept on living lolThe spacers were still disfigured due to generations living in zero G, the only difference being it wasn't due to Qu interference.
Qu are literally too op they split humanity into like 10 species, i doubt there's a sci fi alien race that can really fight them.
>>726101845Weren't humans forcibly de evolved in Halo ?
>>726105232They move around by farting from their giant, prolapsed anuses, anon. They aren't sexually attractive in the slightest.
A single GSV would clean them up
>>726101845Why don't the Qu ever evolve at all over the course of the story. Horshoe Crab perfection?
>>726105101>>726102410Why do these future human evolution books always make tits vanish from our species.Realistically women are just going to evolve into even more useless titcows even more dependent on men. It'll be a Bagworm sort of situation.
>>726101845The Qu don't even have FTL. all three settings win by time and distance alone. >The Qu are coming! They already attacked a human colony on the edge of known space!>How long til they arrive here?>Well it should take them a hundred years to reach the next star and there's about a thousand uninhabited systems between here and there...
>>726101845I think in 40k they'd have issues with all the races that aren't humanitymaking genetically modified Orks and Tyranids isn't a very good idea and they re-evolve super quickly into hostile beings.I don't know how it would work with daemons
>>726105919that's not a classic sci-fi gaming franchise anon
>>726101845The illustrations in the book are kind of goofy, like Picasso meets Lovecraft cartoons, the description concepts however, are amazing
We have no idea how the qu fight or what combat with the qu looks like besides A. it's not faster than light, or instant super magic or blowing up whole planets effortlessly or whateverB. multiple groups could totally fight back for ages, and eventually one defeated themFor some reason a lot of people think they have evolve-o-rays that they fight with and that they're completely unstoppable. I dunno why. They're just like any vague precursor type race I guess.Pitch them against the combine for the ultimate in "Uh we really have no idea what they do" combat.
>>726106006Given that they're freely capable of genetically augmenting species, it's implied that they've already genetically modified themselves. Their motivations or reasons for subjugating humans are largely left to interpretation, but they're probably more complex than pure spite or malice, which I can appreciate. I like the idea of an ancient, billion-year-old, unknowable species with indecipherable motives causing humanity's downfall.>>726106193>The Qu don't even have FTLIt's implied they do, given they can hop galaxies. I'd be surprised if they didn't.>>726106157Off the top of my head, it wouldn't be beneficial for zero-G dwellers to have big, bulbous tits due to weight distribution and circulation. Other post-human species do have tits and genitals, though. Look up the hand-flappers.
>>726105101Haha these guys traverse by farting!!
>>726104089demons in 40k aren't that crazy, unless it's chaos wank
>>726106861Humans found earth-like animals on some planets at tge start so it's implied that 1) Qu had done this before 2) Earth humans are not what we originaly looked like3) Qu might be the first humans and they just see Earthlings like an abomination
>>726107764>Earth humans are not what we originaly looked likelolno. The Qu never tampered with humans before they became a star-faring civilization; the animal that the Qu tampered with and placed on another planet closely resembled a dinosaur, and it had no relation to any species from that planet. This heavily implies the Qu visited and left Earth at one point, although this was long before humanity emerged.>Qu might be the first humanslolno. Qu are implied to be invertebrates, and we know that they've existed long before humans. If you meant it figuratively, I can see what you mean, but the Qu have no genetic relation to humans whatsoever.
their ships are apparently designed to look like giant Qu
>>726104089>evil cant win in disney stories Is it established that the Qu are evil?
>>726106193If they can travel at light speed or close to it then you're not going to find out about the colony on the edge of space that got wrecked until they've already arrived at your system.Maybe you can get a couple years notice if one of the colonies holds them off for a bit and gets a message out
>>726108415not him, very fucking evil
>>726101845>40kTyranids, Necron and Chaos shit all over them>HaloForerunners, Flood and Captain King shits allover them>Star WarsI have no idea the whole universe makes 40k look like a meticulously planned masterpiece, with power levels allover the place, where one nigga can conquer whole star systems with a light saber but then die by tripping into a big worm (I'm purposely blending things)
>>726106861>Their motivations or reasons for subjugating humans are largely left to interpretationweren't they just assholes who viewed themselves as the dominant lifeforms and had already laid claim to the entire galaxy eons before and just fly about the universe in a big loop doing whatever they want with what they view as theirs
There's a chaos god in 40k that would feed off the Qu if they enter the 40k universe
>>726109018People say this but it's always just a distant potential man that kind of gets vaguely alluded to every so often, and isn't even strictly confirmed as a negative thing. The tau keep getting the tau god mystery box rattled every few years and it doesn't really seem to mean much.
>>726109957Nothing ever happens that's why
>>726104468Even if they were more nothing stopping them from being infected, the flood would still fail to infect the whole of the Qu before being trapped and turned into another plaything.
>>726105238The races from the Xeelee Sequence and other Stephen Baxter books could probably fight them. The humans in it have base weapons that have the powers of multiple supernovas, black hole generators, precognition and still can't fight the Xeelee for shit. Xeelee time traveled from the end of the universe to the beginning an untold amount of times, can throw galaxies around or disassemble them for resources like it's nothing, manipulate space and time, build megastructures that are millions of light years across in size, make infinite copies of themselves, instant teleporting across the universe and more. They even beat a Q (Star Trek) level omnipotent being created by humanity's consciousness.Still can't win against the Photino Birds that exist outside of matter lol.
>>726110412I doubt the Qu can do shit against species that can do millions of years of evolution in a few hours like:>Flood>Zerg>Tyranids>The Thing>NecromorphsEtc.
>>726110671VIDEO GAMES
>>726110921The Qu are immensely powerful on a mundane level. They make the forerunners look like leafcutter ants, they make the necrons look like medieval peasants. The only realistic loss condition is their own hubris getting the better of them(like in the books), or magical fuckery that they're not prepared for sweeping them before they can adapt. The Flood simply aren't strong enough to wipe out the Qu. Tyranids and Necromorphs maybe, they have magic bullshit and their true numbers and capability aren't fully known. The Thing likewise isn't fully known, but the Qu would find a means to prevent an outbreak if there's nothing more to it than simple cell takeover.
>>726105919A single picket could probably clean them up
Goku would beat superman
>>726114260why
>>726111626Nah after losing 3 Death Battles I'm sure he wouldn't
>>726101845All Tomorrows have different scale than typical Sci Fi. Even Warhammer 40K where events happen slowly compared to other verses is still really fast. No FTL is main reason. Qu invasion of any setting is really slow and don't innovate. Even if they could outmatch invaded setting, they would quickly fall behind and be be screwed up themselves
>>726101845Most everything else: They sweep40K: This might actually be interesting.Doctor Who: Also possibly interesting.
>>726110671>Still can't win against the Photino Birds that exist outside of matter lol.can you explain this to a layman? i'm slowly developing an interest in physics, space and sci-fi but i've only heard that the photino birds are the most dangerous species in any piece of sci-fi media ever
>>726101845They "kinda" made it into vidya already
>>726119729Well they lost
>>726110671>>726110412>The Scrim-Scrams from Blim-Blor exist out of known space and time and can throw fricking galaxies!Stuff like this is a perfect example of why I could never fully get into high sci-fi or whatever this genre is called.Imagine writing a story in a medium fundamentally based around logic and knowledge, and then just adding in inexplicable crap that makes no logical sense. You might as well write high fantasy at that point, because at least then you can pull the ancient,>”it’s magic, I ain’t gotta explain shit.”excuse out of your ass.
>>726121573Yeah you outed yourself as midwit prime in the Marker thread already
>>726121573It's a matter of scale. To us it's throwing a rock, to a bacteria on the rock their entire world is about to change
Can't wait for the new edition of All Tomorrows. Supposedly 100+ pages are already written, along with illustrations. It also going to have a new conclusion, which may or may not be a good thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbuulUQzHRU
>>726123784Wait really? I mean you can never over explain stuff to me but I feel it might destroy the message of the original
