Game finally beat me. Got up to the Heartless fight, main story locked behind it but it takes your weapons and arts off you, drops you to 1 potion. Can't get good at deflection so I can't win, don't see the point of turning down the difficulty to Story or turning on assisted deflection because then why play anyway if the game does everything for you. Needed a friend to summon, game's just no good without co-op.

Played it for about 5 hours. Most of the time has been spent exploring, but I've done a few side things from participating in a martial tournament, having a instrument battle, doing some small puzzle quests and talking with multiple NPCs using the AI chat box thing.It's basically Euro-Jank but Chinese.>Movement and Controls are extremely stilted. It feels almost like controlling a tank, it's not that bad, but it's pretty bad when you're trying to climb something or navigating anything indoors.>Combat is... the closest I can say is Wo Long. It's very, very parry focused. You can still do damage without it, but it's got such a huge emphasis on it half the time it's best to just wait for parries which I find lacks any and all nuance or subtly. >UI and UI Controls are awful. A billion menus with a constant emphasis on trying to get you to buy the cosmetics and battlepass.>World and quests are pretty cool and fun. Some are very MMO tier, others make it feel like a living breathing world and it's pretty much the main reason I've been sticking to the game.>Online is insanely laggy and basically impossible unless you live in China.Overall I am enjoying it. There is a lot in this game that I really like but am mostly soured by the fact that it's just an Asian F2P mmo/genshin-lite. I really like that some new Chinese games are really focusing in on the social aspect of multiplayer gaming. All the different factions and how they function is entirely unique, something i've never seen in another MMO style game.

For example, if you are ill or have sprains/broken bones, you can call for healers of the silver needle sect. One of them will teleport to you and will attempt to heal you. You have to then compensate them whether for materials or likes. There's also a covenant where you just perform music or dance in front of a crowd.

One of the more interesting things is that there is in fact pvp in this game but it's not really heavily incentivized.

It's the kind of game where you can easily spend 1000 hours if you do everything, combined with the multiplayer aspect and the fact that it's a game that gets huge updates every couple of months.

I think the max level right now is 40 and at some point the main story will need you to be level 42 to progress.
