Is this game any good? It's supposedly made by some washed up ex FF devs and I found it cheap, it just looks like a mobile game so I don't know.

It's decent. Has a few really good ideas that should be in turn based jrpgs with random encounters moving forward, you can store up to 50 enemies in a dimension and fight them all at once instead of wasting your time on separate encounters. The story starts very decently, with hints that MC was a complete jackass before he lost his memory, but unfortunately he never becomes as fun as his backstory portrays him, and the story itself is honestly just rather bland. Second half of the game becomes nonlinear in the style of FF6, and mechanically the bosses are actually a very decent challenge. Guch has been hinting at a sequel and if they can improve upon this formula, it may actually become his best post-FF game.
As the other anon said, don't expect a particularly good story Exploration is also rather basic although the diorama environments are cool. The combat is where the game really shines with each boss being a puzzle you always have just enough tools to solve assuming you play on hard (the only difficulty setting in the original Apple Arcade release). It's really satisfying to figure out the best strategy for each and barely make it through.>>726107929Squeenix only published the console version, it's by Sakaguchi/Mistwalker.
