Nothing, it was a shitty western MMO that paved the way for WoW and the dead of the genre.

Most classes can barely function without gear, so you would have to seekout someone to give you a buff to make the recovery, or maybe a necromancer to summon your corpse (in the same zone). Also there was no real wiki or maps available for the game, only a few classes could solo and it was always inefficient. You needed to find people to help you craft, travel, hunt and everything else. Does that sound bad? Well you are wrong, it was the best thing ever and it will never happen again.
