>Set in Italy after the death of Ezio

>>
Dude there was already an Assassin's Street game in Italy its called AC2
>>
>>726114694
I only know the broad strokes about the animus and shit like that so I need an asscreed fanboy to tell me when the series went sideways?
Is it like that Supernatural show where you can all point to a specific point and say the story was meant to end at this spot?
>>
>>726114838
It's a bit muddied. AC3 was planned to be the end of the story at the point of AC1 coming out. After 2, they decided to annualize their new cash cow.

And since the games were simultaneously developed and written, AC3 is a soggy undefinitive end

I just want a game that builds on the AC1 gameplay
no bullshit story missions like in the Ezio trilogy. We're not supposed to be elon musk 1 man army. I want more assassination planning, more developed infiltration, info gathering, etc.
and keeping the dark mystery vibe from 1.
>>
>>726115024
To add to this, lots of fans seem to agree AC4 is the best one. Not me, but it is a good Ubilslop game.
>>
>>726114694
Odyssey and origins sold better than ezio trilogy
We don't need your gay ass ideas
>>
>>726114694
It just needs to be in a huge ass medieval city with lots of verticality, a decent stealth system, and hitman style assassinations. That's it.
>>
>>726115024
>>726115224
I've only played 4 because it was a pirate game. I don't remember any of the asscreed lore parts only the pirate life. I know some golden apple was the macguffin before that from seeing a friend play 2 I think. My roommate eventually played Odyssee and that game made it feel like the ancient aliens thing had gone full fantasy scape instead of being something like the davinci code.

The series seems interesting from a development standpoint. I'd assume a lot of fuckery went on behind the scenes.
>>
>>726114694
Some type of mmo/rts thing that is both pve and pvp with mechanics from the old mp mode. You build up your own assassins guild over a large persistent city instance and can hunt other players npcs and themselves
>>
I just need an assassin's creed game set in post republican rome.
>b-but we got odyssey
It's ancient greece and it has nothing like sense urban landscape of post augustan ancient rome with high rise buildings, gigantic bath complexes, basilicas etc
>>
>>726114838
>Is it like that Supernatural show where you can all point to a specific point and say the story was meant to end at this spot?
pretty much.

the real life segments in AC 1-3 always featured the Protagonist Desmond, who was slowly learning how to act like an assassin by exploring his ancestors memories. The plan was obviously for him to eventually get a full game set in modern day, but the actor he was based on asked for more money or some shit so Ubisoft got mad and decided to kill the character off by writing in a mcguffin that required him to commit suicide.

Then they made Sleeping Dogs, which is a game set in the AC universe during modern day.
I'm not saying every game after 3 is bad by the way, but they completely lost the overarcing plot. They pretty much don't even bother explaining anymore how these memories are being viewed.
>>
>>726115606
Odyssey isnt in the post republic rome because Caesar is still alive.
The republic became an empire AFTER Caesar was killed and Augustus took the ''throne''
>>
>>726115619
>sleeping dogs
Watch Dogs, kek
>>
>>726115705
Yeah I know
Everytime I mention ancient rome, niggas be like we got odyssey for some reason.
Also origins happens during the roman civil war. Odyssey is ancient history by that time.
>>
>>726115853
fuck I mixed Origins and odyssey. my bad
you were right
>>
>>726114694
How about let this shitty franchise die already? It hasn't had a good game since Black Flag, and the last thing the world needs is more open world ubislop. Let AC die and Ubisoft with it

>AC used to have fucking Kristen Bell
The original cast was so fucking good, ignoring saun and rebecca. I hated them back then and I hate them now.
>uugh they wanted more money
they were carrying the story
>>
>>726115606
Yeah. They don't even have to conjure up an entire city out of thin air based on nothing but imagination because of the paucity of evidence like they did with Abbasid Baghdad. We have extensive 3d reconstructions based on Forma Urbis Romae, excavations at Pompeii/Herculanium, written sources etc.
>>
They should have continued the original plan and have Desmond to become the ultimate assassin. Dropping the Desmond storyline at the end of 3 (technically 4) Will never cease to bother me.
>>
How about ac japan but actually good?
>>
Literally just follow the original plan
>ac1 - middle east, introduce scifi story set in semi-post-apocalyptic present day world
>ac2 - italy, desmond trains, expand real world
>ac3 - desmond does stuff in the present, story concludes
Then you would be completely done with the assassin's creed shit, and you would be creatively free to make more historical action games WITHOUT all that shit
Instead, they were too greedy, fired Desilets and whored out ac's corpse forever
The end result: the story was totally changed and now never proceeds, all the historical stuff is gimped by having to tie it into the assassin's creed stuff, fans of scifi parts not happy, fans of historical parts not happy, games never really improve, on and on and on
AC1 was such a rare example of a fascinating and completely unique new IP
Now look at it
>>
>they copy pasted Connors fighting style for Desmond in AC3 even though he spend more time with Altair and Ezio
I always hated that
>>
>>726116215
This kek
>>
>>726115931
Who else will make games with historical settings that ain't some backwater medieval slavic or nordic shithole? I enjoyed odyssey a lot. Some of the reconstructions are pretty well researched and I like the fact that they even colored the statues instead of depicting them in marble white like they do in hollywood films.

>Lore Nazis policing everything
Oh, I'm sorry, is wanting a consistent narrative too fucking much to ask for?
>>
>>726116151
https://frvr.com/blog/news/assassins-creed-3-director-says-desmond-miles-had-to-die-to-stop-lore-nazis-from-policing-everything-and-give-the-franchise-a-shot-at-survival/

according to this they killed him because they felt the lore was becoming too complex and they wanted normie fucks to jump straight in with new games instead of having to play catchup
which is fucking retarded because the lore got 900% times more batshit after they killed him
>>
>>726116135
>Abbasid Baghdad
Man, the architecture in mirage is just a hodge podge of random middle eastern architecture styles spread across 500 years and the devs justified it by saying "We don't know how baghdad looked back then. We just tried to represent the entirety of Islamic architecture because it'll most probably be last game set in the middle east".
>>
>>726116215
Still funny that they deliberately sabotaged their ace in the hole
>>
>>726116290
Maybe if we let AC die, other studios will fill in that niche. I'm sure no one's interested on disputing this gimmick since AC has been hogging it for decades, but it doesnt have to be that way

I never understand why weebs wanted ac japan. Like it's somehow worse than ancient greece/egypt for parkour.
>>
>>726116332
I remember interviews about AC3 with the same sentiment, they wanted absolutely ANYONE to be able to beat the game and see the ending.

Which explains why every story mission is a monorail kiddy-ride and Connor can tank a full firing line of musket balls to the chest and still live
>>
>>726116779
honestly, with the way ubisoft is going they will probably just collapse and whoever gets the IP for good (seems to be china) would be very smart to just do a full fucking reboot
>>
>>726114694
IDK, after the ending to the sequel I'd say you'd need to go full sci-fi and tie the story together. The simulations can return afterwards.
>>
All they have to do is remake ezio trilogy
>>
I say they missed an opportunity by not depicting the ancient past of Mesopotamia
They could have included the aliens shit too.

>too complex
>fix it by killing the guy and turning it into a story about multiple different people and infiltrators and counter-infiltrator agents all over the world messing with almighty corporations and ancient gods and goddesses
what the fuck

Assassin's Creed set in the french revolution but no co-op so none of the resources are wasted.
Arno is actually half dominican all along. Instead of ripping off Ezio, we are ripping of Ass Creed 3 and Liberations protagonists this time.
Arno's great chase for templussy serves as a greater metaphor of the story.
Saad and Napoleon have much greater story presence. The former showing off the collective madness of the revolution, and the latter slowly descending authoritarianism despite starting off as a self proclaimed plucky individualist. Spoilers. Arno sides with Napoleon.
Jacobins will start off looking like the good guys making the Assassins look like cowards, only for the whole revolution to spiral out of control on top of the Assassins fracturing with many joining the templars(Jacobins)
Nobody wins in the end besides collective madness.
It will be full of male and female nudity.
Arno will start with mentor, Pierre, who will have greater plot presence, and four assassin friends.
Theroigne de Mericourt. She will not be a girlboss from start to end. Her story arc ends with getting lynched by other women and ending up institutionalized like IRL history and Arno has to finish her final request.
Adewale's french descendant. He spends most of the game pointing out the hypocrisy of the Frenchies starting a revolution for freedom and equality while stomping his people's, and give out whitey bad missions.
Chevaliere D'eon's protege who is a they-them femme boy.
And a Sans-Culottes aligned assassin who kickstarts the September massacres and Arno has to kill him.
The combat system will be like Metal Gear Rising.
The wall slide descent shown in the cg trailer will be used in-game.

>seems to be china

Ughhhhhhhhhhh
>>
>>726116869
because it was the most easy premise to have a stealth ninja but with good original AC mechanics game and somehow modern ubishit manage to not only shit on the bed but also in the kitchen and every single room in the house except for the bathroom
>>
>>726117075
Sumerian AC would be kino
Imagine the annunaki isu being there, beyond that you have like 30 cities they could depict
>>
My idea is similar to >>726115606, but rather than taking place in one time period, the game would feature multiple pivotal moments in Roman history, each with its own open world. Rather than turning the entire Italian peninsula into an open world (as they did with Odyssey), the player would only see the city of Rome during different periods. The city itself would become a character with its own development.
>>
>>726117191
eh at least chinks know how to exploit attractive shit and not bend the knee to things that won't make them money (the ""modern"" audience), unlike those coward french fucks
>>
>>726117191

Tencent already gave Ubi like a billy for a co-ownership of their biggest IPs after George Floyd Goes 2 Japan flopped. It's just a matter of time.
>>
AC is probably the last time a big AAA franchise was actually interesting
>>
>>726117281
This is just facts

>>726117414
Would have been cool but AC's plot is too far reaching. Feels like AC1's science fiction element was just a framing device for exploring the assassin concept and gameplay. Ancient aliens would introduce lore and gameplay that they wouldn't be ready or willing to progress.

>80 years' war setting
>The knights templar are working with the spanish something something something
>Have to work with Dutch rebels to get the macguffin
>Naval combat covered by doing missions for the Sea Beggars
>Land exploration and combat covered by taking out spanish commanders and sneaking into cities so you can take them over through subterfuge
I would've made CEO by now if Ubisoft hired me
