Shadows did numbers that were generally fine, the main problem is everything else Ubisoft has released recently. If Shadows had been more of a breakout hit as some previous entries had been it could potentially have better covered the losses for some other titles, but even then Ubisoft's business isn't sustainable long term if Assassin's Creed is the only franchise routinely making a profit.

AC1/AC2 was hype. I liked the past stuff but I was one of the ones that wanted them to go full modern. But the idea of a Japanese Assassin Creed was also exciting.Brotherhood comes, still great.
