I'm confused by the current hype for gta 6. I can understand being hyped for a new gta game in 2005, but 2025 not so much. The gameplay concept that gta popularized, being an open world through which you enter missions to play through has beed done better by countless other games since san andreas, making gta irrelevant the same way wolfenstein 3d is irrelevant as a shooter today since other franchses have taken the formula and expandedn on it since.

I'm honestly just looking forward to seeing whether the game has improved water physics considering RDR2's water was gimped. GTA5 had great physics but no breaking waves aside from a little foam at the wave crests. I did like how it got pretty choppy the further out you went. Anyway, I'm yet to see a game that has breaking waves besides AC Oddysey and it wasn't implemented that well imo. Haven't played that many new games though so let me know if there's anything cool out there.
