Can grinding be good game design?
>>726122276It is if you make it fun. Asagi here could have done that, but she didn't respect the game or the grind, which is why she will never be the main character.
do ya like da grindan game?
>>726122276>NIS decided to make a 3D musou instead of the safer 3D Prinny gameWhat's wrong with them?
>>726122886How can you make it fun?
>>726122276Grinding is just a difficulty slider you pay for in time and patience if you're too retarded to win using strategy.
>>726122276Grinding isn't necessarily fun, but game design wherein grinding is allowed is.
>>726124067It already is, or was before 5 onward fucked it up. Item World is a great place to level yourself and items, while finding new ones as you fight off more and more dangerous foes with maps you have to just wing it on to get past.
>>726123675I like da Final Fantasy Tactics
>>726122276Grinding is retarded, especially when youre locked out of content based on some arbitrary in-game currency Cheatengine goes brrrrrrr
>>726124067By having a good gameplay loop? If you like how the game plays, playing through it some more doesn't feel like a chore. You want the opportunity to spend some more time on the game. That said, REQUIRING grinding to progress is just a way to fill up gametime and something you'd see a lot in RPGs with little actual content. Seen a lot in the PSP days. Some people will argue some games require grinding when that's literally not the case though. I've seen people say you need to grind in Final Fantasy which is false, those games are super easy.
>>726122276idk but I like it so it's good to me.
>>726122276>>726122886Asagi is right and is the main character of my heart.
