What is a good game where something different can happen in every event?

I wouldn't say that Halo is like that, it lacks customization.
I been playing Ultimate Firefight mod and yeah, that adds a shit ton variety, but still, even then, it doesn't have modularity I would love to see in Halo games.
Something like Firefight mode but more customizable in terms of what weapons you have, what allies and enemies spawn, locations of spawns and so on.

Games like half life. With real gameplay where you aren't spoonfed. Like GTA 5 was doodoo. Games where you got to think, and I felt halo 3 different things could happen to your squad could happen in different levels.
