The worst examples in my youth were the official brand publications, Playstation Official Magazine and its ilk. You were just buying a wad of adverts. For that game, they might go as low as a 4/10. The reason to buy such mags was that they had the demo discs, and playable demos were arguably more helpful to game customers than reviews.
